Hi Hartmut,

That's "Queen Victoria" with its mention of German beer.

Yes, that's right, Steven.

Hi,

What song contains a sublime meteorological metaphor?

Hi Steven,

Is it the blizzard from The Future?

Or the cloud of unknowing from "The Window"?

Hi Hartmut and Goldin,

Good and correct finds. The particular song, though, that I've in mind remains unidentified.

Hi Steven, maybe this one:

your hair upon the pillow like a sleepy golden storm
– Hey That’s No Way To Say Goodbye

Hi B4real,

A correct response. The one I had in mind still hasn't been posted.
Someone should do so shortly. The lyric line you quoted is one of
my favorites. :)

Steven, this sounds very much like a command, & I though I don't take it personally, I feel compelled to reply. :)

Humbled in Love: "yes & mark how the stranger's cold armour/ dissolves like a star falling down"

Hi holydove,

An expectation really, though I'm glad you took the initiative to post the reply. There is, I believe, a
theory that a falling star (meteor) affected the earth to the extent of climate change. With that in mind,
your answer is possibly correct. It's a chilly, post-blizzard night here (blizzard affected a considerable
swath of the U.S.). Hope you are staying warm. We're even closer to the sought after answer now.

hehe! I knew you thought it was sublime  and that one was of the reasons for posting it!

I hope both you and Rachel were safe from (as Roman said) "the blizzard of the world which has crossed your threshold!"

or maybe you both still can say "I'm cold as a new razor blade" – So Long Marianne
.... not as sublime as "sleepy golden storm" but both lines are definite favourites of mine!
Another favourite line and possibly sublime in more ways than one:
And my heart is like ice - In My Secret Life

I can't resist giving it one more try, so maybe:

Did I Ever Love You: "It's spring & it's summer/ & it's winter forever"

(Yes, Bev, I was safe from the blizzard, & thank you for thinking of us. And yes, Steven, it occurred to me that it was probably more of a premonition than a command, but good of you to confirm that.)

Hi B4real,

Thanks for the lyric and for remembering how I feel about it.

Like holydove, I also was safe from the winter blizzard.

Snow, new razor blades, icy hearts, etc. all can be positively affected by
the application of warmth. :)

Hi holydove,

That song and the lyric fit the bill, though no one has arrived at the yet elusive song and lyric.
