I guess I lost my ability to catch jokes after last year's journey to India, what I saw and experienced there could be told as a joke (maybe) except that it was very much serious and real.

A friend involved in the textile business is just back fron India and reports terrible conditions.They would go out to check working conditions etc but she said that as these factories would be expecting them that huge coverups are inevitable.
She though that the traffic was 'funny ' though as theres no traffic lights and it seemed as if they just beeped each other as they overtook . Hence so many cars with the sides buckled up like an accordian. When they bashed into each other they just shook their fist in rage and shouted abuse at each other and then just went on their way. No Garda being called there

I was there 3 weeks for business/pleasure, and even if I'm well travelled-or so I though - I was really shocked by what I saw. The international business convention itself was a mesmerizing event, as it was organized by locals, and they were majority among atendees (at a spouse event -a tour of Mumbay- there were only 4 non-Indians spouses).
The five star Mumbay hotel where the convention was held was located in the middle of biggest slum in Asia, a city itself.

Now whenever I read reports about Indian market doing very well I wonder ifbpeople buying Indian stock realize what it really means.

I,m quiet sure that most of us probably dont think twice about buying Indian stock . At the same time one can almost feel guilty for every move one makes nowadays.If our only purpose here was to be happy how does that translate here.
