Eight lines from eight songs, and you've already got two of them, Hartmut ("I'm Your Man" is the first one).

Ok, I see.
I'll generously leave the remaining six songs to the other participants.

Having said that ... 1973: "There is a War"

1973 - another act of violation. I needed to search for this date, as it has affected just a few persons directly (not a war). Anyway, I believe, this episode used to be well-known even 15 years later.

Hm ... This probably means you're talking about a song from the "I'm Your Man" album. But I can't figure out which one.

Another 1988 song that mentions a 1973 tragedy (which has happened neither in NYC nor in Berlin, but in Italy).

Thanks for the hint.
Then 1973 means "Jazz Police". (Because of John Paul Getty III.)

Exactly! Now we have 3 song titles out of 8.
By the way, "1973" or even "LC, 1973" certainly doesn't mean "Jazz Police" to me. There's a reason that forced me to find this numerical equivalent for this song (among others).

I'm pretty sure "10" refers to Leonard's unreleased song about Bo Derek.

Sometimes I'm pretty slow as well ...
The numbers refer to all of the songs from the "I'm Your Man" album - in order of their appearance.

3970 is the ZIP code for Manhattan.
0 = no cure
1 - 2: a night or two
10: ten pretty women
And I suspect 850XX is the ZIP code for Phoenix. Wait a moment ... Yes, it is.
That was fun, Roman!

I've counted ≈3970 miles between Manhattan and the center of Berlin.
According to
this, ZIP codes of NYC are: 100xx, 101xx, 102xx.

Proved: no cure.
Hartmut wrote:1 - 2: a night or two
I was thinking about a line or two; nights work perfectly as well.
...While I was typing this reply, you've solved the rest of the quest, Hartmut: ten pretty women; ZIP code of Phoenix (no need to use a hint via the link I've posted in the beginning of this message)...
Congrats! It was a fun for me too. Over to you now!

Oh, ok.

Let's see if I can think of something ...
Otherwise, as usual, everybody is invited to jump in.

Ok, here's an easy one:
Which song - indirectly - mentions the Reinheitsgebot?
