Thanks for explaining that so well. And as for you GAA heads out there...."ná bac leis an peil ar feadh tamaill!"....Leonard's back. It's bonus time!! The ould football can wait!! :)
Listen Aldo, we've been waiting 81 years for the Sam Maguire - so this music stuff is small change in the great plan to take the cup back to its first home on The Curragh of Kildare. Like to hear Len sing that. ;-)
And thanks for the new interpretation of Rosie, Lonndubh.

Travelled from Belfast last year to see Leonard in Manchester MEN and what a night. Been a fan for about 30 years. Unfortunately I am away on holidays for the Belfast gig. Anyway 2 things which may be of interest here:

From here:

http://www.edmontonsun.com/Entertainmen ... 1-sun.html

Tonight you can be a face in the crowd for Bird on the Wire.

CBC will air the one-hour special Leonard Cohen: Live in London. It focuses on the best moments from Cohen's concert at London, England's 02 Arena last July.

Leonard Cohen: Live in London features many of the 74-year-old Montreal native's best-known songs, including Suzanne, Hallelujah, I'm Your Man, First We Take Manhattan, I Tried to Leave You, Dance Me to the End of Love and, of course, Bird on the Wire.

and of maybe more interest:

I have no idea how the above website works, a friend told me about it and he has booked a few tickets on the above. Anyway it would appear you can book now for the Belfast gig.

Hi

Thanks Jarkko for this information and getting Cohen back to Ireland.

I am somewhat disappointed that the price of tickets again are very high(cheapest is 90euro)

Why is he continuing to charge such high prices, i am going to see Dylan in the same venue for half the price in may(before anyone givers out, i know well that Cohen's concerts are far better and worth the extra money)

So for 2 of the cheapest tickets it probably will be over 200 euro, fairly steep considering we are in the mddle of a recession.
I think 45 to 90 would be more reaslistic for the O2

I know i will end up paying for 2 tickets and i am a big fan and would hate to miss the concert, but the price shocked me when i saw it on the paper...

just giving my opinion, and had to be pointed out.

For the presale, does one have to first register at Ticketmaster, and then wait here for the password?

The presale for the Dublin gigs is, when, Friday? If so, does one just go to ticketmaste, enter the password and then purchase?

Ticketmaster has announced one date for the 19th of July.

Am I right in guessing they will wait for this to sell out before adding the second date later?

Seems odd to have the shows on Sun/Mon night instead of the weekend.

The presale for Dublin is on Saturday. It is best to set up an account with ticketmaster before then as this will save time on the day. The password should be posted by Jarkko on the forum just before the presale starts and a link to ticketmaster will probably be posted too. I think when you go to ticketmaster you will be prompted to enter the password before you can purchase tickets but not too sure about this.

Could someone please tell me if I will be able to choose seats on this presale or if they are assigned to you by Ticketmaster..

And , just in order to create my account, does Ticketmaster accept debit cards or just credit cards?

Thanks
