Did he really have to do this?
And did he have to do it with this specific poem?
Hasn't he made enough money already?

Did he have to disappoint me as much as
when I saw Bob Dylan in a lingerie ad?

Dem

PS) And how do "people get closer to the things they love"?
By buying a SONY 3D tv?

PS 2) I hope everybody here can understand the difference
between an artist that sells his books/music/films
and an artist that sells his art for a multinational corporation's ad.

I believe we can all agree that the answer of this question is "yes",
which might actually mean that money wasn't the motive...

If anything, I think it was good commercial for him as well. People see the ad, like the voice and the poem, look further into it and voilĂ ! New people introduced to Leonard's music - and poetry.

And I don't think you can compare this with Dylan's ad, which I found to be ultra humiliating and stupid, unlike the Sony ad.

Great post, Stamatina. I have to weigh in with you, and you're right that the two ads just don't compare. Leonard's is fully clothed and romantic, as well as tastefully done.
