Even though many of us can't be there, it is wonderful to see all your photos - thank you Paul!
And the weather turned out to be pleasant - this probably made Ken very happy

Everybody left Zagreb except Jarkko and Eija. I am going now to the old town, to have last coffee with them and accompany them to the airport bus later. The meeting is now officially closed. .......
Some pics are on my and Paul Stubbs Facebook pages. As soon Jarkko gets all pictures from everybody, we can except the biog gallery. Also, the event at SAX! was fully recorded on the soundboard and with camera, including the surprise performance by Ibrica Jusic. It's 12GB HD video, but we will prepare some stuff for our You Tube channel.

I changed my album options so anybody can see it, not only my Facebook friends.
Let's hope that all the participants will send their photos to Jarkko soon, so we can make the gallery! The video will be uploaded to Youtube (all three shows) as soon Jura gets back from the skiing next week and gives us the DVD:)

Thanks Tom for this ---- I changed my FB profile too and will send the originals to Jarkko. I hope Jura enjoys skiing - are you sure he is not taking the dvd anywhere too cold
Spending the day (with my ankle still sore) pretending to work and listening to Ibrica Jusic's 'Hazarder' album!!!

Eija and I are safely back home! Big thank-yous to our great hosts Tom, Juraj and Jurica for making all the meetup arrangements, and guiding us around in the city!
The concert at the Sax Club was excellent, and our days in Zagreb were full of interesting program at museums, coffee houses, and restaurants.
We hope to get a selection of photos uploaded to a new Gallery page during the weekend.

Yes - we all had a great time again. Always lots of fun to be among Cohenites. I immediately connected with the city, also thanks to the welcome sun we were granted. The Zagreb guys Tom, Jurai and Jurica and the halfway Zagrebian Paul Stubbs were caring hosts and offered us only the best. We learned a lot about the town, there are in total 45 museums.
Another wonderful Cohen gathering in Zagreb last weekend….
........many thanks to Jura for his generosity and time spent showing us around his city…also a big thank you to Jurica for his interesting and humorous insights into the Croatian way of life
…..it was a pleasure to meet up again with Liverpool’s special ambassador to Zagreb Paul Stubbs …and an extra bonus to finally meeting his lovely wife and daughter rather to have to make do with the two alpha males of the ambassador’s family
….and of course to our very own master of ceremonies Tom….who never ceased to amaze us all with his knowledge, learning and overwhelming enthusiasm he displayed throughout the whole of our stay………
......also of course a real pleasure to meet up once again with old friends and new in that amazing city
……many many highlights….the Croatian history lesson from Tom. Jura, and Jurica at 3am in a bar on Tkalciceva Street……the wonderful local food……. the abundance of terrific galleries and museums
…….and of course the evening at the Sax club…where Henning started the evening with some of Leonard’s poems that he set to music….now Henning knows I love him singing these poem/songs so that’s why he rarely plays them when I’m around…never listening to my musical advice is the main reason why he will never have a successful music career………. then the Tower of Songs gave us their first set of Cohen songs and it was a pleasure to listen to them making Leonard's songs their own in a their individual style
…………then during the break up stepped the legend that is … IBRICA JUSIC …….this was one of the best live performances I have ever witnessed….Jura’s wife nailed it for me when she described his singing as kinda French chanson in style……and when she told me that he always use to play on stage with his old dog by his side you couldn’t but not love the bones of the beautiful man
…..I initially felt for Tower Of Songs having to follow Ibrica up on stage for their second set but they were soon back up and running with the music flowing and scored highly with the audience when Marko produced his oud for a few of the songs including Everybody Knows
…..now if only Lufthansa hadn’t lost my luggage…thanks to Margaret and Linda for coming to my rescue and to John back in Chester for the ride and the tea and toast….two of the most important things I learnt whilst in Zagreb is that everything in Croatia is ‘complicated’ and that Tom like me buys his underpants at Marks and Spencer’s…..thanks everybody for a wonderful time….at ken

Thanks to everyone in Zagreb for making the last few days so memorable. It was good to see so many old friends again.
Didn't we all have such a fantastic time I think previous posts have described it so well, there is not much I can add!
Tom, the Croatian spirit is being appreciated
Ken, I hope your luggage arrived safely with nothing important missing!
There was a lot of noise in the Sax club. You easily lose track when you can't hear your own voice. Even though they had monitors it was as if you sing against a wall of sound. Nevertheless I was happy that I managed to complete my set and I was feeling very good after all. Here are some vidoes ... please enjoy.
