Yes, I thought that might be the case, but couldn't remember for sure; anyway, I'm not so sure that matters; surely a Leonard Cohen concert would be worth reincarnating for. . .

Ramesh died in 2009 Rachel. I would love to go back to India. I saw Ravi Shankar in Pune which is 3 hours south of Mumbai in 1978 at an outdoor concert which went on until 3am!. I would love to see Leonard perform in India. It would be very interesting and magical!

It seems more likely he'd go to Beijing though.

That is so strange I just mentioned Ravi Shankar in my above post. Kush has mentioned that Ravi Shankar died today. What an amazing talented musician he was. He will never be forgotten.

That is shocking news about Ravi Shankar's passing. He was so brilliant & he will be missed terribly. That's wonderful that you got to see him live in India, Leslie. I wish him a peaceful journey, wherever he may be.

I agree that seeing Leonard perform in Mumbai, or anywhere in India, would be absolutely incredible. I lived in India, in an Ashram in Ganeshpuri (about 50 miles north of Mumbai), for 14 months, between 1980 & 1982. I always thought I would go back to India someday, but so far I never did. Seeing Leonard there would be a powerful inspiration to return. I don't know if I could handle such a long flight now, though. I think the flight was about 20 hours. Also, the climate in the part of India where I was, is not particularly hospitable to humans. In the hot season, it was 130 degrees Farenheit, in the shade. Then there was the monsoons. But yes, the energy of the place is so very unique & uplifting - I don't think there is another place like it in the world, & I'm very grateful that I was able to spend some time there.

Well, I'm going against the European trend and saying that LC & Co are not yet finished with doing concerts in the USA before going to Europe.

The hardest thing is to pick the first city there but I'll try to give Linda a special present by choosing -
