Re: TEL AVIV CONCERT CONFIRMED

Post by Micklub »

Hi,

It seems that the Tel Aviv concert "disappeared" from the tour schedule:

Dear jarkko, please tell us it's a mistake...
And theres a mighty judgement coming, but I may be wrong...
Thanks

I have for the time being removed Tel Aviv from the summer tour itinerary at the request of AEG Live in London.
No more info available for the time being. Waiting for advice from Israel.

There's nothing here on the news/sites about it.
Thanks for the (really disappointing) update.
Let's hope for good.

We will be getting more info from Israel soon, meanwhile let's not draw premature conclusions!
AEG will let us know soon what is going to happen.

You are right Jarkko, lets not jump to conclusions!

i would like to quote one of my favourite songs in israel, called "yom chadash nifla" which means great brand new day.
and as the time goes by you say, there's gonna be a better way, tomorow morning we will be waking up to a great brand new day
as the song says,i hope that maybe not tomorow but the next few days will bring us good news about the concert in tel aviv.

Has the Tel Aviv concert been cancelled? I've been keeping an eye as to when to buy tickets and now I don't even see Tel Aviv on the list anymore.....

I guess we need to repeat this:

Jarkko:
I have for the time being removed Tel Aviv from the summer tour itinerary at the request of AEG Live in London.
No more info available for the time being. Waiting for advice from Israel.
and
We will be getting more info from Israel soon, meanwhile let's not draw premature conclusions!
AEG will let us know soon what is going to happen.
Dates were removed from the European schedule and then appeared again. Let's just wait until we get a definitive answer.

I've just heard in our local news program Channel 10 that the chances of seeing Leonard Cohen here are slim, even though on the Israeli side it is denied at this point.

Well, in a country that has been waiting since 1985, not to mention waiting intensely and very patiently since last year, where the DVD went Gold, where he is loved and admired...
I refuse to lose hope. I am optimistic. And my heart is aching.

There will be a major announcement next week
about Leonard's concert in Tel Aviv (Sept 24).
We will be the first to post it.

I dare to imagine it is something good, otherwise it wouldn't have been posted also in a separate thread in a News section. But what could it be? It is tormenting, killing me.
