Can I echo the requests for Famous Blue Raincoat, The Partisan, Avalanche, Chelsea Hotel, Waiting for the Miracle? which were in the Fall tour. These are some of his best and most memorable songs and it would really enhance the DVD if room could be found for them.

I was not the only member of that audience with tears running down the cheeks during many of the songs. I could listen over and over again.

Will keep hoping there will be another leg of the Tour in 2009. If he appears anywhere on the US east coast, I'll be there! I live in the Boston MA area, and I know there are many fans here and in NY.

Thank you,Jarkko, for all you do to keep this site alive.
I am new to this forum, but not to this site, and I have to say Jarkko, I am very impressed with how interactive you are with LC's fans. Thanks for making so much info available.

Honey, I am also in the New England area... and am keeping my fingers crossed for a Northeast show. I am pretty much done with concerts, but will come out of retirement to see Leonard. Seeing him would really make my musical journey complete... and Tom Waits, of course. My two favorites, the most elusive!

Can't wait for the CD/DVD!

Has there been a track list determined for this CD, since it's coming out in just a couple of months?

That's funny - the website is using a photo shot by Eija here in Helsinki (without permission of course).

I've seen that picture on other sites before, it's a nice one. Maybe they found it somewhere else, where someone else also had uploaded it without permission, so they didn't know where it actually came from. Just a guess.

Do we know if it will be released as CD/DVD combo or two separate releases?

From the link above....

Songwriting icon Leonard Cohen's triumphant 2008 European tour will be chronicled on a special live CD and DVD arriving March 31st from the gravel-voiced singer's 40-year label home, Columbia Records. This new, expanded package taken from Cohen's rapturous 25-song, 2 1/2 hour concert in London last July also arrives shortly after Cohen's return to the U.S. concert stage at the Beacon Theatre in New York City this month, his first Amercan performance since 1992.

The critics were, umm, wowed: "A unique, soul-stirring event, surely destined to be remembered as one of the great shows of the year" - Manchester Evening News; "To hear him sing is still an experience to truly make young women and romantics shiver and sweat"; "spectacularly good" - Independent, London, UK; "An extraordinary night of music" - Daily Telegraph, London, UK; "Quite simply Leonard Cohen's voice is a force of supernature." - BBC 6

I will never forget that evening in Manchester. Ever. I just wish I'd taken my daughters along too

No sign of a PAL version suitable for Europe, then? Please post if you find one!

Bit frustrating, since it features the London concert, but I suppose it is being released to support the US tour...
