Sadly Heaven no longer exists. It's private now.

We shall be arriving on Wednesday 10th and leaving the following Monday. We will be staying at Pension Erofili, about a minute's walk from the harbour if you take it really slowly. Irini, who runs it, does the most amazing breakfasts, including eggs freshly laid by her own hens. Last time we were there she even found us a candle for Marco's birthday cake!

Such a shame that Heaven has now been privatised - but that seems to be the way of the world these days :)

Linda - the German Franz crew (7 persons) also arrives on Wednesday. Maybe we are on the same boat around noon (2 p.m)

I thought Hydriot was a bit unclear with his heaven statement. Either it doesn't exit or it is private. If Heaven is private I wouldn't dare to ask to be letting in.

You forgot to count in Stefan. So you are 8 persons then, aren't you?

Heaven is closed, except to the new owner. Heaven is dead on a Saturday night ... and on every other night too, sadly.

We will be landing at Athens airport around mid-day, so we may well see you on the boat, or even on the bus down to the port. There will be three of us. Sue is coming with us again, as she enjoyed herself so much last time. She still insists that it's despite the sound-track rather than because of it. I keep telling myself that as long as she likes Cohen people, that's half the battle. We were not planning to book tickets on the boat, but if you are bringing all your cousins, aunts, uncles etc. perhaps we had better do so :) .

I have received numerous emails asking whether Leonard will be touring somewhere at the same time when we are supposed to be on Hydra (2nd weekend of June).
I have told them, and now will repeat it here: no, the tour will make a break after the last concert of the US/Can leg (June 2). The last European leg of the tour is starting
in July - those who took the risk and bought tickets from Eventim know where and when.

Regarding booking holidays etc - are you able to say whether the announcement of the schedule for the last European leg will be imminent or is it a case of relaxing & being patient for quite a while longer.

Many thanks

I think we have to relax and be patient for a few weeks. We will be the first ones to have the schedule, but only after everything has been nailed.

Hi one and all,
As you know I signed up for this adventure a few days ago and am very much looking forward to seeing Hydra again. Unfortunately I do have to face certain realities. Last year was both a delight but somewhat of a financial drain. Having booked my flights I am now looking to book accomodation with a view to it being VERY economical. So I would welcome any ideas/suggestions.ie room to let/share, flat or apartment share. In extremis, a garden in which I could erect a tent!! Yes, I am willing to go that far... ALL ideas welcomed.
I am arriving late afternoon on the 10th, and departing morning of the 17th, so 8 nights in all or in parts thereof. Ideas Anyone??
You can email me direct at: r.r.workshop@talk21.com
Best wishes,
Russell

Ohhh... this makes me regret even more that I won't be going :( . Financial, for sure  ~ no raises this year or last; no bonuses this year, of which there are normally two; increased cost of living; and now they're considering a 5% paycut [off the pay rate of three years ago]... not financial ruin, but certainly severe financial compromise [yet, still better than Unemployment Compensation]... so, believe me, Russell... I understand. I hope you're able to locate really good, economical accommodations... and I know you'll enjoy yourself  . Who is that man walking the harbour ;-) 8) ?

Sorry to hear you won't be there. Oh! how we laughed... how we LAUGHED!!
I strongly suspect I need my tent BUT more importantly, somewhere to plant it.
Paula and myself will raise a glass to you and laugh on your behalf.

So am I, Russell. You have no idea. Or, really, you probably do.
Oh! how we laughed... how we LAUGHED!!
Yes :D . It was the BEST... the all-consuming, ever-lovin' best 8) . Like children-in-church to the ecstatic... laughter.

I know I can trust you and Paula to carry on in the finest tradition... in that private, little orb 8) ... my glass raised to you both. Hope I don't spill it, laughing  .

I still have the card you sent.
