I think the whole flavour of this post has gone rancid. What was to discuss LC's impending 70th birthday has resulted in some of the most bizzare postings.
Whoever heretic is, they had their result of putting this Board into mayhem and another attack on Liz.
The sinister element to me is the Satanic influence of the post which ties in with silly innenudoes expresses by Partisan that we all could not see the woods for the trees and the suggestion that he had some esoteric knowledge about LC and his wellbeing. In effect P is trying to set himself up as the Charlie Manson of this Board, and this is where he can become dangerous.
I think that it's time some people realised that to persecute others becomes an obsession. Although i have had my disagreements with P in the past, i don't hate him or go to bed thinking of ways to hurt him. I think however that he goes out of his way to do that to other people esp Liz.
People should step back and look at this thread again. To continue down the path that it is going is very damaging to the fellowship of this Board and i for one, don't wish it to do so.

I am puzzled by your being "puzzled by the 'polite banana' remark." (I take for granted you refer to me writing "openly tries to play the nice banana while revealing another nature in PM's ".)
I'd say there's enough evidence that partisan always claims to have made "just a joke", when in truth he was deadly serious and seriously nasty. This discrepancy between his claims and his nature becomes obvious, when you don't look at his contributions to the public forum only but at his behavior in the open chatroom, in private IRC windows and - as demonstrated by lizzytysh - at his PM's as well.
So his public display is: "I'm not really Hyde, I'm just pretending to be Hyde for the fun of it." Whereas he really is Hyde, as you correctly stated, eeey. But he has "hid his light under a bushel", the "bushel" being "I started a joke..." (a title by the Bee Gees).
I hope this explains the "nice banana" remark.

Jo I didn't realise you were a psychiatrist. I thought I did say what
was bothering me in my posts. I am quite happy to clarify anything in
any of my posts which leads you to make such a comment in fact I will
quite happily give you chapter and verse on my reasoning for any post.

At least Heretic/Partisan you have come out of the woodwork as in your other thread aptly named Traitor. You rant on again about the evils of Tysh smothering this Board with her posts! Since when did you appoint yourself censor to this Board? You again reiterate LC is dying, for i have told you so. You are indeed a Traitor to him wishing his death! Everyone dies at some stage Partisan, it does not require a great mathmetican to shorten the odds of your prophecy as LC is approaching 70, is a heavy smoker etc. What worries me is the flippant way you see LC and in what complete disregard you have for his feelings or others on this Board. Your posts are designed to shock and to portray yourself as the ultimate bad boy in the hope of some recognition. The diffrence bewteen you and LC is that when LC dies he will be remembered with great fondness and as a great shaper and influence of his generation, you will be an unknown. Seems to me Heretic is either Leonard himself, who knows for sure he is going to end it all by age 70, or Heretic is God, who also knows for sure when Leonard's number will come up.
What ever the case we hope it is just a rather strange sense of humor by someone.

So do it eeey - it might stop the abuse if no-one knows what anyone's saying - but as I said - no-one seems to bother trying to understand anyone else anyway so it probably wouldn't make any difference. The point was not that I'm fluent in Afrikaans - we have 11 official languages here - I'd be a fool if I weren't fluent in at least one other.
Partisan has several times insisted in the chatroom that he's never said anything nasty to Lizzy - we all know what to think of that - but there'e very often someone new in the chatroom who doesn't know him and might get the wrong impression - but then again - that state wouldn't last long, would it?

Paula - as I've mentioned in a previous post (God, I'm getting tired of having to use that phrase) I have no inclination to waste my time and resources to explain and/or re-iterate what is plainly there for all (you included) to read. If your logical faculties are defective it's your problem and I won't make it mine.
I have admired and enjoyed (and participated in) your humour and fun in the past but for no obvious reason, in another thread, to the utter surprise of me and several others (no, I will not reveal names - what was said to me was said in private and I will not betray those confidences), you attacked me under the guise of defending georgegordon - I see no reason for you to have done that unless there is some as yet unstated bond between you. Now you make another by-the-way statement, which is inaccurate... and you accuse me of making snide comments? Oh yes let's not forget the syrup comment - I'm left wondering (please note carefully the exact meaning of that word) if your originally unprovoked antagonism is due to your unsuccessful attempt at misappropriating my thickets in another thread - or perhaps you resent anyone posting too many times on YOUR thread?

I do not use the PM system to backbite or discuss forum members I use it to swop addresses, swop L C stuff or general chitchat or remarks personal to the person PMed. I do not use it to discuss game plans. Please do not judge others by your own standards. Any remarks I have made to people I have made on the open forum with no one telling me what to put.
With regard to George Gordon I was not defending him I was pointing out an anomaly in your argument. I would not have bothered doing that if it were not for the smug patronising way you spoke to George.
