I had a dream a concert where you all had to register and given a fair chance of a good tickets, limited to four per person so no one can play ticket seller whatever, in your name so they could not be transfered to anyone esle. The alarm just went off it is just a dream, it would be good if sometimes dreams and a good fair chance of getting much sort after tickets came true . Oh well back to the real world  .

I would not buy any ticket or offer any ticket back to a tout whatever name the tout is going under, I think you have to make a stand . In the end there are certain things I won't do for a ticket.

No touts in Germany? Bought a couple of Waldbuhne, Berlin tickets. Maybe it is simply because it is nowhere near sold out, or because the tickets were and are available all over the place (?), but there seem to be no tout tickets for the sold out best seats nor any ebay adverts in Germany for them...

Yes but another villain in all this is PurchaseMaster who have been selling software to ticket brokers (touts) which automatically floods the market with bids for tickets as soon as they become available. Apparently for some shows they can bid up 80% of all available tickets. Something similar happened with the recent Miley Cyrus tour in the US (for the unintiated she is a young teenage pop star in the US) and all the tickets went in 10 minutes. Mostly it seems to the touts. TM is suing PurchaseMaster and the case is due in court in October and PM have been injuncted not to sell their software meanwhile but I suppose where there is a will there is a way. TM and the scalpers are only in it to make a profit they don't give a stuff for fans. But incidentally not all stars are blameless, as it said on one website, it is not uncommon for TM to take the black eye for the mark up which is actually shared with artist, promoter and venue. There has been a lot of fuss on here about TM auctioning seats, as they are doing for Leonard now at Edinburgh, but it could be argued that is fairer. The article referred to in this month's Word magazine, points out that there is little point in the artist and management setting a low initial seat price if all that means is TM and the scalpers reap the benefit. They might as well set the price high in the first place, particularly as older record industry contracts put the cost of touring (and the loss) on the artist. Now there is a big demand for live shows, why shouldn't the artist benefit rather than the scalpers?

Just saw Ticketmaster had some tickets today for sale, tried to see what was for sale , nothing is the answer. Your request cannot be met is the message. What a wheeze and a tease they really know how to wind you up . Maybe its their idea of fun , it just adds to the whole sense of dispair I have felt about getting tickets from this outlet. Yet dispite this I will continue to look , I live in hope .
