As a point of interest the "show schedule", as Sharon Robinson's website has called the tour, has been cleared of all the dates it was showing up until yesterday.

which i said to you in response to you suggesting AEG compensate any loss in travel arrangements.

Confetti. In your most recent post you stated: "which i said to you in response to you suggesting AEG compensate any loss in travel arrangements." I am somewhat at a loss as to understand this.

In reply to your comment first time around I made the following comment
"Of course you are right but that begs the question, why continue to sell tickets if you are aware that there is even the likelihood of a cancellation/postponement. Whilst it is not illegal to continue with the sale it is certainly immoral and indicative of their concern for customer satisfaction."

- are you in disagreemnet with this?

no not in disagreement, however, if a promoter announced a cancellation as soon as an artist took ill (if that is the case here) it could cause many more problems. There are contracts to sort out with the artists involved, with the management, with the venue . It is natural that they will try their best to wait and see if the problem resolves itself before issuing refunds. There are so many people involved in the setting up of a gig, which causes this to be a complicated process.

Also, we don't know if the ticket sellers have been told there is the likelihood of postponement or not, maybe they are the ones who are still selling in the hope that it will go on. AEG don't sell tickets directly you are forwarded to a ticket seller from their page.

This is directed to "davidrichards" "osmachar" and "danslenoir",

I'm just curious, as I'm sure some others may be, as to which concerts you had hoped to attend?

I have tickets for Lille, and took a day off work to get them when GDP royally screwed up the presale, but that is another story.

What has this got to do with anything, though?

What confuses me is Jarkko's statement from Wed Feb 03, 2010:
The present state of affairs has nothing at all to do with the ticket sales of the March concerts.

Patrice on the French site is now saying Robert Kory says the announcement will be on Monday.

Same on the Webb Sisters website: This artist does not have any upcoming shows...

confetti - sounds like you in the entertainment business - no one would argue the complexity of contracts etc. etc.

ladydi:
2008: Dublin, Edinburgh, Birmingham, Manchester
2009: Dublin, Liverpool
2010: none booked as yet - some might say I am the lucky one
However as danslenoir said : what does this have to do with anything?

Don't tell me that only people who already have tickets are allowed to think that AEG have made one almighty cock-up. I certainly can't feel sorry for their "predicament", one: it is mostly of their own making, two: they don't organise concerts for the love of the artist - it is a business, they are in it for the money - pity they forget who actually pays the money and therefore their wages. Good customer service costs very little!

I suggested earlier that maybe the announcement might be a postponement of dates due to poor ticket sales (as there still seem to be plenty of unsold seats for the French dates), I think Jarkko's statement was in response to that.

Everyone has a right to express their viewpoint. However, earlier in this thread there were several comments insinuating that those who have nothing to lose should perhaps not be expressing theirs. It seems though that when it comes to those who did not purchase tickets/hotels/trains/flights to any of the concerts, there is only one viewpoint that you feel IS acceptable. I know many who will be affected by this news. There should be no difficulty in securing refunds for the concerts or hotels. Trains, flights, are another matter, but life isn't always perfect. As imperfect as AEG might be, they are not responsible for refunding travel arrangements, as most of these arrangements were probably made long before we started to get the first hint of a problem.

read my mails from yesterday
Dear Covow

i've looked at your emails from yesterday . are you saying the source of the news about leonard's health is the 'director' of the zenith at caan??

It may be a long weekend hoping for an announcement on monday ( 9 days after the first expected date of an announcement ) .Hopefully we can all find other things to do and enjoy ourselves , though i suspecvt that having extra time on our hands will see an increase in the rate of posting . When the announcement comes we'll be ready for it , and it may well be less bad than some expect . There will be some who don't read this forum but who are fans and have invested emotion and money into plans to see leonard for whom it will be a bolt from th e blue . But so long as leonard is OK we will all get over it . If leonard has any kind of health problem , i'm glad he's looking after himself by putting his own welbeing before that of fans , hopefully knowing that it is leonard's well being that , in the last analysis , fans hope for .

The longest thread is i think the picture quiz. This can never get to be that long , but it is linked in that both centre on potential ' mysteries ' !
