Yes, Bev, you're right!

'I walk the streets. Like I used to do.'
Yes, Bev & Hartmut, that is the lyric I was thinking of! :D The other songs mentioned were also good answers, as they do refer to walking, so thank you to Steven too!

And thank you to Bev for the advice about altering the double post - I tried completely erasing the words & resubmitting it blank, but the website wouldn't accept a blank post (lol!); so now I will try the "dot" method.

And thank you for your very sweet words, Hartmut - you are very kind!! :)

Editing: as you can see, the "dot" method worked - thanks again!

Thanks Rachel, I think we all combined to get to that answer :) but I'll take a turn next.

And now appropriately a musical question requiring the names of two songs; in fact one is entirely based musically on the other .... so if you know one you could know the other!

Is it 'Un Canadien Errant' and 'The Faith'?

Good try Hartmut, but it's not those two this time. This a question that hasn't been asked before in this game.

Difficult ...
The numbers 1 and 2 of Chelsea Hotel maybe?

Both are Cohen songs?

Absolutely! And they are both official songs ;-)

Then I'm stumped.

Oh, ok, you mean the slow and the fast version of 'Forever Young' on 'Planet Waves'. That was easy!

Bev, I haven't listened to these songs in a while, so I'd have to listen again to be really sure, but based on my (rather unreliable) memory, perhaps you are thinking of: Got A Little Secret & Never Gave Nobody Trouble?

Hartmut  and sorry Rachel, not those two songs :(

I have repeated this quote again because there are strong clues to both songs written there :)

But here are some additional clues:
The two songs I want share a similar musical vamp.
In classical music it is called an ostinato and in rock music a riff.

Then I think it's "You Know Who I Am" and "Nothing to One (You Know Who I Am)" from the remastered version of "Songs from a Room".

And, if that is true, may I say: Good thing you changed your clue from "not hidden songs" to "they are both official songs" ... :-)

Ah Hartmut, I never thought of the remastered album of Songs From A Room at all so thank you for thinking of it! It does fit the bill. “Nothing To One” has a slightly faster tempo than “You Know Who I Am” here and the versions below.

The album I had in mind was Live Songs. "Improvisation" is an extended instrumental guitar trio version of the vamp from "You Know Who I Am". The vamp plays without singing for almost a minute with “You Know Who I Am” on this album and both songs are of a similar tempo.

It’s interesting to listen to all four songs for their variations.
Over to you now!
