BIZARRE... so this would be some of the newbies who were here??
http://www.showtimetickets.com/concerts ... -cohen.jsp
Don't even get the information right? Or intentionally misleading for the sake of ticket sales? Lycabettus Theatre in Athens, Ohio!?! Opera House in Vienna, Virginia!?! There IS an Athens, Ohio. There IS a Vienna, Virginia... and there's an opera house there.
His itinerary is listed beyond what it is here, though; but still no Poland

. When you click on any one of the venues, this is the message you get:
Pricing is based on supply & demand which includes a service charge that reflects the difficulty and cost in obtaining premium seats and/or hard to get tickets. ShowTimeTickets.com is not affiliated with any primary ticket agency, box office or venue.

Oh my G~d, I'm so excited!!!
I imagined the seating backwards, and thought that seat #BB-11 would be in the second grouping back of seats on the floor... but I located a seating chart, so I could count how MANY rows back I would be and it turns out that BB is actually the SECOND ROW!!! This is no longer a lament! That's where I'll be the first night in Montreal

!!!
The last night, I'll be in seat #E-38, which will still only be 10 rows back!!!
This is just marvelous!!!
Now, if they'd email me like they said they would with the confirmation. I've gotten only one and I couldn't open the Attachment. Of course, you tend to start having other thoughts at that point, but I'm trying to stay positive!

I'm hoping to hear of more Canadian concerts, perhaps Victoria, Vancouver or Edmonton. Though I can't afford it, I'd consider flying to Toronto if necessary, but I won't know if Leonard's going West in time for the pre-sale, or any sale, for that matter.
Lizzy, that's excellent knews. And Montreal... if I was going to Montreal I'd stay a week or more to take in the city.

Yes, no kidding! I don't want to believe his tour comes no further west than T.O.! Didn't we initially hear of an LA date? Well, who knows - more may be announced later. Well, I'm not going to commit Hari-Kari just yet. At least there'll be some good live tape to come of this. Sort of like FCC only 30 years later. Tix for T.O. go on sale later this week, so trying to arrange a cheap WestJet and hotel is just out of the question. Ticketmaster is aware of no Western dates. but that doesn't mean there won't be. What did I say about B.C.? 'Beside Canada'. Oh well, ya win some, lose most. C'est la vie.

[quote="Red Poppy"]Suemerlyn - NOW you know how those of us who have been here for years feel about the newbies taking tickets.
What goes around comes around
Ouch! Sorry you feel that way, Red poppy, but what makes you think that because you have been a member for three years and I have only been one for about 7 weeks or something that that means I love LC less, or am less entitled to tickets, (even one!) - I have been following Leonard for years and years, just not much of a joiner. I went to live on Hydra for one and half years - inspired by that documentary that showed Leonard walking on the agora to the accompaniment of Who by Fire - wonderful.
As I said in my last post, I'll wait patiently to see if the miracle comes and there's a presale, but I 'spect there won't be, so I guess you and I will have to take our chances tomorrow along with everybody else. So the miracle may turn out to be getting tickets anyway (for both of us, and everybody who wants one.)
See you in Dublin?

Eek! More slightly precious "newbie" bashing. I agree it's kind of disappointing but it seems that the desire for tickets rather brings out the uncharitable side in some... That said, I've used the website for years and find it generally a happy and uplifting place to be, so lets not allow the few speak for the open-hearted many...
I really and truly hope everyone gets a ticket. Even those who can't be quite as gracious to those gosh-darned "newbies"! The reality is that it seems like there's no pre-sale anyway, so any ill tempered grumbling is kind of pointless... but whatever...
Have a lovely day everyone! x
P.s. I'm bound to rub someone up the wrong way in these heated times, but I've gotta say I had to laugh at people being perturbed about "announcements being made in the press and media." It's a world tour! I'd kind of expect that sort of thing... I'm sure Leonard would love to telephone each long-standing forum contributor personally to ask which ticket they'd like, but he's probably a bit pushed at the moment. BTW, I'm JOKING... x

ooohhh... I'm slightly excited when I hear of another (especially with an "h" - rarer). I once worked with a Rhona and we had zero in common except a pathetic enjoyment of saying "hello Rhona" to someone else.
It was probably a bit of a quiet stage in my life.

I am a HUGE fan and have visited this site on and off in the past yet never "registered" (just viewed and lurked). I am SO very excited about him coming to Toronto and would love to get two tickets - for my hubby and myself. I'm no scalper, believe me. If I am allowed to participate in a presale, that's wonderful - I would appreciate possibly the only opportunity there is to get tickets to this great event!

But if I am not measured to be a big enough fan because I am a new member, I guess that's the way it goes. I hate to be judged, but I guess that is bound to happen in situations like this.
Jimmyprofit wrote:Fans are fans regardless of how they express their love of leonard! I've been waiting for this for a very long time and feel through my years of devotion to the great man I would feel an injustice if i was denied a presale ticket purely because i chose not to post an a forum!!!
This is a great moment, embrace it folks and don't destroy it - 1 post or 1000 - we're all fans,
