Who thought it had to do with fish, Manna? I guess I missed that. It would've needed to be plural I think to have prompted that idea with me. Me a Pisces and all  .

Thanks for the back story to your poem.

*The electron has a mass, but it is a wave. It is a particle and a wave, and it is made of something like energy-mass, I think. A neutron is kind of like a proton and an electron in one (LOVE! sigh.). The stuff that makes up a proton and a neutron - well, I don't know what it is.
"The space between" is the constant. The Void and Tao.
As I understand it, we westerners focus on that "particle/wave", expressions of energy from the string theory to the Universe/Omniverse.
But, as I said, it is the "space" which is constant.
Eastern mysticism tends to... "become that space".
Go for the space manna and you may become that blanket, that blanket that nurses all of being and non-being; "that which is and that which is not".

Chuang Tzu is worth a read.

I didn't nor would I change a word of the original... I just re-arranged the shape a little.
I still go with the first draft... just re-arranged the structure!! The original structure was too cluttered for my reading.
The poem, as you have indicated is about magical space and scale... then structure is important for the dynamic of the poem to work... and it works for me with space in between to breathe!!!
