Byron as an aside to a comment you made on another thread we too operate a Cats Neighbourhood Watch in our area, it must be
nationwide.

We are regularly inspected for food quality and quantity
and the sleeping areas are checked out for comfort. If there are any
problems we are normally informed quite quickly

When we got our cat he was a stray, thin and unkempt. We were told he
had been scavenging and would eat anything. Now I have to spend 10
minutes at Sainsbury checking the products, he won't eat anything in
gravy only jelly he will only eat pouches not tins and he only deigns to
eat if someone keeps him company.

The woman who lives next door has two rescue cats and shortly after we
got our cat her cat developed alopecia. She took him to the vet and it
seems he is stressed and anxious about the new cat on the block and it
was the stress that caused the alopecia.

We were going to ground the cat as his doorway to Narnia (the cat flap)
is getting too much use. We were considering installing a revolving door
instead of the normal flap. I have had all sorts come through it. We
had a ferret walk through the door once bold as brass. He was lovely I
think he was someones escaped pet. We took him to the RSPCA who
rehouse him.

Paula. My very posh sister had many cats. She also has a 'door to Narnia' which is operated by a magnetic force found in the magical cat collars bestowed on her brood. However, we are now the proud owners of 2 cat food dishes which were gifted to us by my sister. What is Byron going on about you may ask. Well, the 2 cat dishes are metal cat dishes. (are you ahead of me yet?)
Whenever any pussycat who was wearing a magnetic cat collar, for getting in and out of the cat flap, had a meal from the metal cat food dish, the poor moggie found itself magnetically attached to the metal dish for the interim, or until my sister was awakened by the deafening racket of metal dishes being dragged magnetically around the kitchen floor by a recently fed pussycat.
I suspect that my posh sister's pussycat (only one remains) now eats out of best bone-china bowls.

As one proud cat[s] owner, I am finding this funny beyond belief, Byron. Thanks for making my day!

Did I mention that Charlie is the only one who can walk??

I see, on another thread, that pupil assessments are being discussed.
Are you aware that many schools use CATs as well as SATs to aid their assessments
BTW don't believe all you hear from the education experts.. there is only formal compulsory testing for all pupils in the core subjects at the ages of 7, 11, 14 and 16..

Still, they don't need feeding and I don't need 73 extra litter trays.
It's funny how when visitors enter the room for the first time that their initial comment is

Byron I now have visions of some poor moggy attached to a metal bowl trying to make an exit from a cat flap and not being able to get thru. I am going to inform the RSPCA. Or Cat Line.

I was sent an email recently which purported to be a link to a page which specalised in Bonsai cats. The photos were horrific and looked real. I email the America Cats Protection and it seems it is a hoax and they have had many complaints so if you ever get a similar email it is a hoax and the webmaster of that site should be shot

Paula, the sound of clanging metal was definitely the sound of cat plus dish attempting to exit kitchen, stage left, via flap, pursued by another cat plus dish.

Oh G..d, I can't stand it. This gets funnier by the word .
