Ah. When I clicked on that link my iTunes store opened, so I closed it before I saw the review. I looked up Tiny Tim on youtube. This place is nothing if not an education! I trust you had a flutter on Buddy Holly.

Yes, Bob Dylan does look a tad uncomfortable in that video.
Diane - I remember seeing footage of Dylan appearing at a Springsteen concert, forgetting or not seeing where the microphone was and singing to himself for almost a minute until Bruce nudged him towards it. It was hilarious.
Well I'll let the Cocker & Knopfler & Jagger fans continue on with no further interruption :)

Diane - thanks the heads up about Crossroads 2010!! Saturday, June 26th. I hope they will be streaming it live on the internet. A few years ago I sat at my computer ALL DAY watching. Simply amazing. They do usually do make some sort of show for TV - but only selective little bits.
http://www.crossroadsguitarfestival.com

The line-up so far this year - (Kush will be glad to note that Joe Bonamassa will be there)
The following artists are confirmed to participate in this unique event to benefit Crossroads Centre Antigua:

Albert Lee
Allman Brothers Band
BB King
Bert Jansch
Buddy Guy
David Hidalgo and Cesar Rosas of Los Lobos
Doyle Bramhall II
Earl Klugh
Eric Clapton
Gary Clark Jr.
Hubert Sumlin
James Burton
Jeff Beck
Jimmie Vaughan
Joe Bonamassa
John Mayer
Johnny Winter
Jonny Lang
Keb' Mo'
Pino Daniele
Robert Cray
Robert Randolph
Sheryl Crow
Sonny Landreth
Stefan Grossman
Steve Winwood
Vince Gill
ZZ Top

(Line up is subject to change without notice.)
I *think* this is from the Budokan in Toyko, Japan - the guitar at the beginning could make you weep. The very ending is cut off but the look of delight on Eric's face about the talk box is there!

And from Hyde Park - (Chris Stainton is in this video)

Old Love. "Too much confusion, goin' round in my head-a!" For a guy who can't sing, I sure love his voice!! :D

Oh yes oh yes you got it:-)

That line-up is mouth-watering. If they stream it, pleeeease put up the link, Sturgess! It probably wouldn't be available in the UK but I'll keep the day (night as it will be for me) free just in case! Oh to be there in the presence of the lord.

Funny it's on 26th June, two years after we first discovered the two previous Crossroads here:

Some of those links, on that link, no longer work, unfortunately, as I clicked on John McLaughlin, Kush, to see if my appreciation might have altered, as you have subverted my brain with all that jazz since that thread, but he's not there anymore.

In the Presence of the Lord is still there, from Crossroads 2007:

and there's Chris Stainton again. I am starting to see him everywhere now:-) Speaking of co-artists, Doyle Bramhall II and Katie Kissoon have appeared at the CGF, and both also appeared on Roger Waters' Tour Dark Side of the Moon tour (btw tics now onsale for Roger Waters The Wall Tour 2011). Katie Kassoon has also worked with Joe Cocker (see recent vid.s we have posted) and Van Morrison.

Check out this excellent clip of her singing Mother with Roger, Bramhall doing Gilmour's guitar bit:

I think that's Andy Fairweather Low there too (and PP Arnold)? All these great artists sure do stick together.

pondering hats last night, I looked up You Can Leave Your Hat on: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kDR2fXoHdQw
and finished up watching the entire Dortmund 1992 concert on youtube - excellent. E.g: When The Night Comes:

also, I always loved INXS' Never Tear Us Apart and didn't realise JC did a cover (this from 2002):

PS I notice his newest album, Hard Knocks, released Oct 2010, has mixed reviews. Anyone got that album?
