Georges -
They d.still malt to a beautiful purity
Encase't in oaken casks to reach maturity.
Served three fingers wide in a simple jar
At a friendly home, in a cozy bar
The liquid, never to be marred by ice
Enhances the spirit, makes poets feel nice.
But, Irish Georges, you got it (w)right
That I have often learned by night
A similar process divine can be seen
Between the forty lovely shades of green:
The Irish and the Scots know to fight strife
By d.stilling from malt the "water of life".
But, if you ask: do I prefer the -ky or -key -
The one I just drink is always the dearest to me.
Cheers
Tom
