77 million people buy and sell on Ebay. They can't all be poor, can they? I remeber seeing Kelley Lynch's name as a bidder on a Cohen item.

Eight guns, five souls, one car - and one father barking out the orders - hey Dr Freud that sounds like complete freedom alright! And that was just driving through the states. Can hardly be us European socialists you're afraid of there. Could it be that the fear is of that other car coming towards you with five souls, eight guns and a mother barking out the orders.
Form a circle Dr Freud and you can shoot each other ...now one...two...three.....

And hey Dr Freud - why are Irish commies (your words not mine) souls' "little."
Interesting choice of words - says a lot about your attitude to those who disagree with you.
Of course a lot of Socialist tax paying countries actually have public health services that work for all.......

. . . and to think I could have had a V-8!! No! I mean a Lugar Gun - 8 Shot!

No ~ seriously... to think my family's tradition was to eat popcorn and apples, and drink Vernor's ginger ale, as we listened to "Our Miss Brooks" on the radio on Sunday nights :? . How Ozzie-and-Harriet boring compared to your own, high adrenaline, family time  . No wonder you aspire to the field of psychiatry  .

I've just never felt deprived until now.

Check for Michael Moore's documentry Bowling for Columbine if the subect of this country's obsession with guns and violence interests you. "Who will take away his license to kill?"

That's for sure, Lightning... or even just check the handgun-homicide death rates. Suicide, too, for that matter.

Dear Dr. Idiot Freud

Thanks for calling me a communist
(actually I call my self an anarcho-communist)
and the advice over taxes.

In the mean time you can continue paying yours.
Don't worry about mine.

I am also glad to see that you
are familiar with guns.

Me too, being an athlete of
practical shooting for years.

You see (anarcho) communists can
use guns too. :P

But here is a friedly advice:
People who are serious with guns never
brag about them in forums (and in general).

Not even in a joking manner.

Red Poppy, I think irony may be lost on you at times!
Of course a lot of Socialist tax paying countries actually have public health services that work for all.......
Name one.

Dear Lizzy,

How I envy you. Yours was truly an enlightened and progressive childhood. And the apple and the popcorn never fall far from the trees. Was Miss Brooks an LC fan?

Dem,

Anarco-Communists who are serious shouldn't brag about their many years of athletic shooting ability. Makes the natives nervous and gives away the game plan.

YdF ~

I'm immensely grateful for that narrow fall from the tree... and, prior to the fall, for the hot, homemade popcorn; non-polluted, fresh apples; and lots of ginger in the Vernors. Eve Arden has been deceased for many years and Leonard wasn't publicly producing, yet... however, she may well have been enjoying him for years from the ethers or the grave.

Amazingly enough, my parents were [and my mother remains] very enlightened and progressive in their thinking. They traveled far and wide from that radio [and falling so close to the tree, I'm trying to do the same]; learned of many cultures and embraced them [I'm also still trying to do the same]; and have been two of the most non-judgemental people I've ever known [again, I still try to be the same]. They were the greatest of role models, and I pray I may live to measure up to half of what they were and my Mom still is.

They weren't much for guns, however. My Dad was a Conscientious Objector before it was 'fashionable;' at one point he planned to be a minister, but ultimately opted to teach English at an inner-city school. He had a gun for hunting, but rarely took a shot ~ he was out there for the nature of it and the fact that my brother had a lot of interest in it, and my Dad believed in allowing and supporting him in being his own person. We never had handguns or guns 'for protection' in our house or car. The only drills were related to the carpentry and handyman things my Dad did around the house to keep things up to par.

Thank you for providing me the opportunity to laud my parents, for whom I am and will forever be immensely grateful.

I believe you still have Vernors in the northeast. Try the combination sometime and think of me. "Our Miss Brooks" may be archived somewhere... in case you want to make the experience somewhat complete. Completion would require the inclusion of my parents. A shame you'll never get to meet them. I'm very proud of my parents for many, good reasons.

There are 3 signed books up for auction now on ebay.

I was haunting Italy when the signed books offering came up, so this is my only hope. Pleeease...Please, anyone who Really cares about Leonard should know it would be a sacrilege (okay, maybe just aggravating to me) to bid against me...thereby making me pay more (or losing it altogether!) and also because it would line the pockets of enterprising folks who had the foresight to purchase this signed book as a commodity as opposed to a thing of sentiment.
Thank gawd for such cretins, for it gives me a second chance of getting a signed copy and lets me know they recognized a thing of value when they saw it.
The value to them? $$
To me (and others such as me) Sentiment.

Fair market value is driven by those willing to pay...not those selling.

Anyways, please do not bid against me and prove to the world the extent of which some will and do value Leonard's book with his signature. Let's keep the fmv low as possible...for My sake, of course....
