i agree with muddy. the man had (and to some extent, still has) an unmatchable sound. he's a loony-toon, sure, but what he has done for rock and roll is incredible. the only other producer that i think has a great sound that can be comparable to spector is bob ezrin, who produced lou reed's "berlin" and kiss' "destroyer," among others.
