Dear everyone,
It was my first time in Hydra. Thanks of course to Jarkko and Eija, who were not supposed to organize anything but who did anyway;
thanks to Willy ans Wybe, always friendly and helpful with useful things ( insect repellant, pocketlight) . I really felt welcome.
My highlights;
-to meet Anne, in music and in person
-to dance in the Pirate bar 20 minutes, in company of Anne and Stamitina ( Yes, Stamatina, I was there too, I danced with you as well, and with Carol who had -knee problems that she completely forgot that time);
- the cinema evening
- the walk to the monastery
- the sing-along meetup in the Hippocampus, where finally everybody sang along and one man had an important part (Keron, or how do you spell your name)
and he did quite well
- the singing with Nikos , me playing and singing and of course he singing the most important line (I' m your man in a deep voice). Eija made pictures of it. Afterwards I got a huge Ouzo, which I hardly could finish.
And so many more, meeting Jeanne who seemed ageless and Marsha and Mary and Eva and Vlatska and Laura ,Carol, Sinikka, the two Christophers and the Belgian mother and daughter Francine and Aline, Mirjam and Nelly and so many more ....People from all over the world, but unified hearts.
Certainly I forgot to mention other important persons, pleas do not feel insulted.
I have als o made nice pictures, I'll try to send them as soon as I know how to do it.

It was my first time, but certainly not the last time.
And Hydra is a wonderful beautiful island.
Thanks to everyone for a wonderful week.

Thanks for all the photos and especially for the ones of me(???!!??).
However there seems to be something wrong with everyone's cameras as they seem to have distorted my shape.....
It made me think of a portion of a Robbie Burns poem 'To a Louse'

O would some Power the gift to give us
To see ourselves as others see us!
It would from many a blunder free us,
And foolish notion:
What airs in dress and gait would leave us,
And even devotion!

My diet has commenced and I will avoid the two characters shown in the following photo!

I beg to differ Wijbe! Susan and I were there as well through Friday. Truly enjoyed meeting each and everyone that made the trip to Hydra. Henning and Elke - we truly enjoyed dinner on Friday evening in Athens at the foot of the Acropolis - thanks much for including us both. So happy to have escaped Athens though - I think that our time would have been better spent staying on Hydra through Sunday morning.

What happens on Hydra stays on Hydra

I look forward to many more events starting next year in Madison. I think that Susan and I may sneak in a trip to Hydra late next April/early May prior to the Madison event. It truly is heaven on Earth!
