What's annoying is that KFOG has been involved in a presale for every Bay Area Leonard Cohen concert in the last 3 years, but they NEVER play his music.

That is pretty much true Esther that KFOG doesn''t play leonard's music. That being said one night a few years ago they were doing ten at ten and the year was 1967. One of the ten songs played from that year was Leonard's recording of Suzanne. listeners voted it number two of the ten songs played. Number one was The Monkees I'm a Believer

Hi everyone
I'm so new to this forum but was thrilled to get a ticket for Oakland for Mon. night the 6th
This will be my first concert.
Does anyone have any tips as to where to stay ? I'll be flying in from Seattle. Perhaps close
to the airport or since the concert gets out so late maybe nearer to the Paramount.????
The Marriott wants $195 for 1 night (senior rate)
I don't think that's an option. Washington Inn???? Possibility?
Any help or suggestion would be appreciated.
After Oakland will travel to Portland for the concert on the 8th.
Sorry I have to miss LV
Hope to meet you all there. My seat is Orchestra rear Row CC seat 124

Dear Jarkko...thank you...

Dear AEG....thank you...

We all remained patient and now have our seats for either Oakland or Vancouver! I'm spinning at the moment but totally in love with my Row Y Seat 102 for the first Oakland concert on December 5th!!!! It's row 2 in the pit, and seat 102 is dead center with an open area in front of me!!! What a dream seat!

Happy tonight!
Diana

Wow, the pit! Hi LadyDi, my name is Bob and we met and sat next to each other in San Jose. How did you get the front row? I missed the presale but still got E 105 for the 5th. I just wrote to Jarkko as an FYI that I saw F 107 for sale on ticketmaster a few minutes ago. Also B 217(?) came up but I didn't get it as I have a ticket. Should I grab these and offer them to one of our group (at actual cost, of course)? Or would that be frowned upon? I have just passed that question to Jarco. Anyway, I look forward to seeing all of you again on the 5th and hopefully the 6th. Last year in Oakland, they didn't open up the pit until the last two days and there was plenty of time for people to upgrade to those tickets. I didn't have enough courage because I would then quickly need to find a way to turn over the so-so (but still $250) tickets that I had. Very best wishes and congratulations on your tickets.

Hi Bob! You must be LB's friend! Actually I didn't just happen upon the seat (wouldn't that be nice!). A few of us (not many) held tickets for Hawaii which cancelled. We were refunded but also advised we'd have first opportunity at the new additions, either Oakland or Vancouver, however AEG would assign our seats depending on our price level. We just needed to be patient ;-) , and voila! A happy woman :D

Look forward to seeing you again!
Diana

ps...Len is bravely sitting next to me and a couple of friends in LV!!

Help! Or reassurance at least. I never knew about "the pit." and was in seventh heaven for the last few days for having managed to get row B, dead center, for the Oakland October 5th concert. Now I saw posts about unbobstructed view from the pit---- and see a little blip in the seating chart---does this mean that dead center in row B is less than optimal? If someone knows, please share. Thank you.

Hi rike

If you look again at the seating chart, you will see the Pit in front of the main seating area. There are just 2 rows in the Pit at the Paramount so you have row 4, dead centre.

Sounds pretty good to me!!

Concert in Vancouver

Dear Leonard Cohen's fans!

I am often going through these pages but I just have registered for the first time. I would like to ask you for an advice.

I'm coming from Slovenia and have been so far on two Leonard's concerts in Lucca, Italy and in Zagreb, Croatia. Both concerts have been very different but both wonderful experience for me. Although the opportunity to actually see Leonard Cohen alive was already the bigest gift for me, I really wanted to see him also in my home city - Ljubljana. Sadly being in Calgary (where I do have a great time) for few months I missed his concert last week in Ljubljana. Getting all these information from Ljubljana how amazing the concert was I became nostalgic not being there... Anyway - being in that mood - I just found out about Leonard's concert in Vancouver and started to have this dream:)... Although Vancouver from Slovenia perspective is very far from Calgary, being here in Canada Vancouver doesn't seem so very far from Calgary. Although the tickets are much more expensive than in Ljubljana, "man do what he has to do"... :)

So I decided to check the best available tickets at the moment on Ticketmaster and I got the information about the ticket in section 118, row 2, seat 10, Price Level 2 (CA $179.75), PLAZA LEVEL. What do you think about it? Although this is already very expensive for me, I would really love to have the best ticket possible (as everybody else I guess). I would be willing to pay some more money to get it. Does anybody knows if there are some better tickets still available or somebody has additional ticket? Or should I just buy the ticket and be happy with it:)? Maybe I just need a little bit encouragement from you to actually go to Vancouver:)...

Anyway - thank you.
Lep pozdrav iz Calgaryja, Anja

HI there - hope I have the right thread...

I have 1 ticket (row four, on the floor) seat 31 (which is on the aisle in the centre block), and due to personal matters, it looks like I might have to sell it. It's for the Vancouver concert, Dec.2

It's a $264.00 seat - I'll absorb the Ticketbastards fee. Must know ASAP. Damn, and I was so looking forward to this. PM me, if you're interested.
Thanks.
