I didn't see him in 2008 either, just wasn't possible at the time. I was very pissed off when I heard what a great concert it had been. Now's my chance!

I need some help again!
Am i the only one who didn't see the row and seats number? The payment goes through, that's for sure. Now i see the kind of confirmation page (which is already sent to my email) and it just says "Hartwall Areena Fan Club etupermanto/ First rows on the floor + toimituskulut (8euro)". I use my friend's address in Helsinki to sent the tickets to him, this address is also mentioned on that page. Is it ok?

Tickets bought, straightforward and easy. Confirmation translated into English everything seems to have worked. I was slightly thrown when the Mastercard page appeared in Finnish!

We've only been to Cohen concerts in the UK before and never to Finland for anything. Really looking forward to it.

You're not supposed to see the seat numbers. You'll see them from the actual tickets when they arrive.

That's what it says in my ticket confirmation, too. I Guess the system just can't tell the seat number/row at this point.

E: Damn, I'm always late! (Story of my life... )

I saw Leonard for the first time in October 2008 in Helsinki - and was completely out of my mind during the following two weeks!!! I was listening to Leonard's music, different video clips etc 24/7 !!! Luckily (??), I was unemployed at that time so I had time for it :D . Having bought tickets for the new concert in August I'm in seventh heaven again. Last time I arrived pretty late at the concert and didn't see any T-shirts etc but this time I WILL FIND them... Hallelujah, this is ab fab, I never dreamt of seeing him again! Thank you Jarkko!

Tickets bought, Flights booked - only hotel to go now Any ideas? - Never been to Finland before and we're really looking forward to spending a couple of days in Helsinki.

Thanks Jarkko - I don't know how you keep up with all of this but I'm so happy that you do. Hope your flights all work out well and that we all see you on the 10 August.

:D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Without going too much off-topic, I really recommend http://www.palacekamp.fi/in_english/hotels/hotel_glo/. It is situated perfectly in downtown Helsinki, rooms are very nice and service excellent. http://www.hotelhaven.fi/en is another excellent luxurious choice. http://www1.hilton.com/en_US/hi/hotel/H ... ?WT.srch=1 is situated a 15 minute tram-ride from downtown - a great spot if you want to be closer to nature but still a close to everything. http://www.palacekamp.fi/in_english/hot ... el_linna2/ is supposed to be quite nice too. I hope you'll enjoy Helsinki - see you at the concert :D

Hi everybody,
I'm sort of new to the forum, and I MUST thank Jarkko and this wonderful forum: thanks to them I'm the happy owner of an etupermanto ticket for the Helsinki concert, and I'll see and listen to Mr. Cohen for the 4th time in two years! Magnifico!

I would recommend the following hotel only 3 km from the Arena: http://www.ava.fi/frontpage_AVA
Another one ;http://www.omenahotels.com/hotel-helsinki-eerikinkatu This one actually has two separate hotels in Helsinki

Welcome! :)

Ilkka, you're listing the most expensive hotels in town! Fore more budget-oriented members Omena hotels have pretty good price/quality ratio.
Usually you will get better prices for any of the hotels on the agent website (like www.hotel.com and http://www.otel.com) than directly from the hotels.
(I believe Omenahotels is available only through their own website)
In 2008 many members used Seurahuone, located in the absolute center of Helsinki, next to the railway station. The international agents
offered very reasonable price for it.

Well, some of them are quite expensive but for example Linna I mentioned earlier seems to cost ~€80:-/night including breakfast from their own website so it shouldn't be too bad. Beginning of August is still holiday season so the hotels are quite well priced.

Scandic Grand Marina http://www.scandichotels.com/Hotels/Cou ... nd-Marina/ has 3 nights for price of two (eg. August 8-11) for €65:-/night with breakfast! It is situated very well close to everything by harbor and I have friends who have stayed there and recommended it warmly. I doubt you can get much better deal in Helsinki in August.

The special offer by Scandic Grand Marina mentioned by Ilkka in the message above is a really good bargain. The hotel is also situated next to the market place near all the main attractions!
