Well Bridger15, those items hardly merit a 'Lifetime of Achievement' award in my grouchy opinion. Wonder why the building in question didn't survive as an Art Gallery, could it be that she filled it with her own 'art' and nobody came. Here's hoping she isn't recording herself in the changed use building, remembering the hideous screeching noises she produced in the past - I can feel my grumpiness escalating at the thought of it.

Evie B wrote:...someone must be able to think of something Yoko Ono contributed somewhere along the line, apart of being a pain in the a** - .
As I see it, Yoko Ono made a valuable contribution to the memories of Hungarian Holocaust victims and to the decimated Jewish Community of Budapest. When she bought, restored and continued to maintain a building of significance in the old Jewish Quarter of Budapest, she saved a piece of history .

Veteran rock guitarist Joe Brown has said he "couldn't be more thrilled and delighted" to be honoured by the Queen after half a century in music...

Hi Gregor
Was glad to vote, hope posts haven't offended. Appreciated your encouragement in getting everyone voting. Just a bit miffed/astonished our man didn't win.
Not sure how to react to 'LAME' as I don't really understand what the comment meant in this context.
If I was in Cork I would buy you a Guinness.

It's nice to be nominated among all those young folk, isn't it? It's not all about the winning... and surely not when you're 75 years old! I am sure LC appreciates these new nominations:)

You are right Tom, Leonard will probably be quite charmed to be nominated regardless of the outcome.
Yoko and Joe both thoroughly deserve their wins. (I am now off to wash my mouth out with soap, which is what we are supposed to do when we tell lies)

Ummmmm...it's lame that the Fleet Foxes won when we wanted Leonard to win. Not sure what the question is...
(I do wonder what "plactic cohenites" are though)

"Plactic Cohenites" should read ----- P L A S T I C ..... I got the spelling a bit wrong. However just to air my views of all those "fans" who were here looking, screeming, begging, prostituting, selling their souls etc. for tickets for the gigs around the world.
It is easy to be available and air one's views on a good day , but where were they when their support was really needed, thats where I am coming from with my description of "P L A S T I C " (Disposable, easily got rid of, use only once, does not last for too long, replacable, copycat, not the real thing, need I go on because I could. That said I think I have made enough noise about it all .

Hi Gregor
Thought it might be Plastic Ono Band you were alluding to, that being Yoko's and John's 'group' many moons ago.
I think everybody who has posted on this thread (apart from the Britney Spears fan) actually voted for LC, plus many more besides.
As I don't thoroughly understand what you are getting at about plastic fans, I wont add any further comments.
All the best,
Evie

Lots of things - she's beautiful, blonde with big brown eyes, has a great voice and figure, dances like a dream, what's to like? I hate her, and Angelina Jolie, and Sienna Miller, and Michelle Phiefer, and and and
