Another rose in the Stories of the Street, by the way.

Hi Rachel,
holydove wrote:I am inspired to explore them, & see if I can find that motif (well, I've also become curious about them. . .). So I don't have the info you are looking for at the moment, but if I find it someday, I will surely let you know
Thank you! But please ... don't waste too much time on it. - We'll just ask Leonard about it the next time we see him - I assume that will be in Summer 2016 in Ghent.

There is also a 'rose' in 'The Captain'. (I know, I know ...)

:) Noun, verb, whatever - we're not very fussy about the grammatical trivialities of language here, are we. . .?

Obviously, I should have said the flower appears in "at least" 3 songs, as Steven has now named a grand total of 5 - thank you, Steven!

Hartmut, I wouldn't consider it a waste of time, but I like your idea much better & am eagerly looking forward to the summer of 2016 - see you there for sure!! And thank you so much for revealing the secrets of the new tour plans - I like that very very much!!

Hi,

I only got four of them, holydove. :)

A song character disclaims comprehension of a grouping of bible verses. Please name the song.

Hi Steven, I haven't looked anything up yet because this instant thought just popped into my mind :)

from the staggering account
of the Sermon on the Mount
which I don't pretend to understand at all

Hi B4real,

You are instantaneously correct.

Thanks Steven,
That was also an instant reply and I instantly had to find a question for you all because I didn’t have one prepared
I really must keep at least one idea in mind. Now I didn’t have to look anything up for that last question but I did have to do that for this question.
This song is definitely rated very high in my top ten!

I'll let Leonard himself give you the clues for this song ;-) Here’s what he said about it:
“I knew it stood for something clear and strong in my own heart.”
“There’s not a line in it that I couldn't defend”.
And he said this about the chorus: “they're few and far between but you can find them.”

Let’s see if anyone can guess the name of this song - I think Roman might be on to me and clued up :)

I like this riddle, Bev! - I have no idea what song you're talking about. But it sounds intriguing.

The sentence “I knew it stood for something clear and strong in my own heart.” rings a bell, though. I suppose I could just google it. But that would be cheating.

Yes, thanks for the correction, Steven.

Sorry for interrupting the game, but I owe Roman an apology; I was rushing when I wrote that post & forgot to give you credit for naming Stories Of The Street - sorry, Roman!!

Now, back to the game! Bev, I remember reading or hearing those quotes of Leonard that you posted, but can't remember which song it was, at the moment. Have to think about that one. . .

Editing: I'm thinking it might have been a song from The Future album - maybe Anthem? (though the choruses do not seem few & far between in that one. . .)

Now I'm thinking it might have been Closing Time. And that's my last guess unless I think I actually know something. . .!!

I'd say there is a remarkable hint on this page!.. (Don't mention it, Rachel) ;-)

Caught the hint too. :)
