60s Leonard Cohen is my dream man. That mind. That voice. That nose

It's Leonard Cohen's birthday today. Sunny right now, but we should have near-ideal Lady Midnight listening conditions later on #forecast

Leonard Cohen is een zingende dichter. Zijn teksten zijn pure poëzie. Ik kan ze zo niet maken. Live is zijn charisma immens.
Leonard Cohen is a singing poet. His lyrics are pure poetry. I can not make them so. Live, his charisma is immense.
I appreciate the song "Hallelujah" more since I saw Leonard Cohen perform it live.

Am proposing a moratorium on mopey boys covering Leonard Cohen’s Hallelujah on acoustic guitars to cover period from now until end of time.
After working all morning now chilling out watching the waves at Ynyslas and listening to Leonard Cohen. He's not that depressing honest.
Trying to psyche out my dad by listening to Leonard Cohen songs and eating cigarettes without breaking eye contact. He refuses to weep.
Girl with perspex violin and old guy who always sings Leonard Cohen just jammed together to do Hallelujah! #LeedsBuskers
(does a Perspex violin sound better than a plywood one?)

I understand there is ongoing discussion about posting/not posting Tweets re Leonard Cohen, and where to put them. I used to block out this discussion, so I'm lost as to what the conclusion was.
Are the Tweets now to be posted here, or are they taking over the whole Forum ?

I'ts really annoying to wade through random products of ADHD published on the Internet ... :(
Anybody Internet-literate can search for them, there is no need to proliferate Internet debris ... :(

mirka - Back in the 1970s when Leonard was still widely regarded as the "grocer of despair" he was asked why he thought people came to his concerts. He used an analogy to the effect that if a tragedy happens, such as a road accident, people will come to stare at it out of some kind of morbid fascination. I guess that is what is happening, here!

It is a mystery to me why people who don't enjoy the content of a given thread persist in reading that thread. There's no law of heaven or of earth that says every word on the forum has to be read.

Kinda disappointing to come here to enjoy the tweets and find these disparaging remarks. There are threads that don't interest me, too, but I don't go to them and certainly don't have any less respect for them just because they're not my preference.
