Presale to Sligo

Hi Liz,
Great idea to meet up somewhere after the concert. The Raddisson is a bit out of the way for most I suspect. Can I suggest that we meet up back in Sligo town perhaps the Garavogue or somewhere town central. Open to suggestions from our Sligo based friends!

Back to work tomorrow so i'll get to talk all about Leonard again and my episode in getting my tickets. Still on a high after getting my tickets and I would totally love a CD for Lissadell. After all, it's such a stunning location and promises to be such a special event. Leonard Cohen, Lissadell house with a bit of WB Yeats thrown in - who could beat that?

Morning all back to work again. Good luck for all having to compete for tks this morning( that's ESP if u have not been succesful so far ( with pre sale). Stay cool, try not to panic and make sure 1. U have tkt master acc. (check u remember p/work. I go stuck with this last year2 thatyour credit card has been paid up to date (or borrow someones) 3 press print when u get purchase. No. Just in case emal is not w/ ing and then u have ref. No.

Would people not be better still using the presale (for the next hour) or do better tickets arrive again for the main sale at 9am?

probably think your right, tkts still available it seems in block C, but some want better seats and their hope is that they get this on the overall sale!! if it was me i'd rather go for any block as opposed to taking the risk of not getting any!!!!

I am almost inclined to try the general sale to see if I can get a better seat than the one I got in the pre-sale. I think my 'mistake' was booking six tickets together and as luck would have it the two extra I got for friends in Holland will go a-begging as they cannot now travel that weekend after all.

I noticed that getmein.com were this morning selling tickets block A row D and row L for £275 each - over twice the face value.........

I second Liz's vote for the Radisson for after the concert if people are into heading out that way...

Please understand that we cannot just pick a Venue for Meet-up, as a matter of courtesy we have to contact the proposed Venue to find out if they can accomodate us.

The Garavogue in Sligo town has been picked as a Meet-up Venue. I have spoken to the manager there and allsgood.
We are trying to arrange transport from the Garavogue to concert .

Two other Venues that I contacted were booked out for weddings etc. One Venue requested 200 euro booking fee for Ballroom !.

I am working with contacts in Sligo on this and will keep the Forum informed of progress.

We should remember that weekends in pubs / hotels are a busy time for management and staff.

9.09am Monday -Ticketmaster sold out!

I was lucky enough to get some tickets in the presale for block A - I thought I would see how quickly the rest sold.

I did just try the general sale now, I tried about 6 different ticket permutations and not a single one was available. I am wondering does this indicate a level of busyness at Ticketmaster which the system cannot deal with or did most tickets go in the pre-sale? If tickets are being offered at way above the odds this morning it would again indicate that the scalpers have hacked the system, the world we live in is not all sweetness and light. I do not like the idea of 'I know more about Leonard than you do competitions' but I would like to see people with a genuine interest being 'rewarded' which is what this site and all the hard work of those who keep it going was intended to do.

Guys, second concert for the Sunday on ticketmaster now!

I had front row seats 32-33, clicked through and got a message saying "There has been a problem with your order, please try again".
I am absolutely gutted!
