Dublin, June 14-15 and now also 13!!!
Re: Dublin, June 14-15 - tickets
Ladies,
The winner of the trip backstage in Manchester has been decided and those who have not heard from me by PM will realise they have not been fortunate enough to make it to the inner sanctum/i!!
The winner has asked to remain anonymous and I respect her decision. Should she wish to reveal her identity that is her prerogative.
Real-Alan, you will be welcome in England, all the way from the Western tip of the Empire.
Welcome home!
William

Re: Dublin, June 14-15 - tickets
Hello All
I’ve been here on and off for a few years but never got around to signing up. Gotta say Thanks for all the advice posted here. Although I did get into such a panic on Thursday, reading all the posts. I borrowed a laptop to add to my laptop and my battered old desktop all set up on ticketmaster. I got in on the first go, I couldn’t believe my luck.
Mr. Cohen is the only person that I would sell my soul to see live. I’ve been saying that for years. I truly never believed it would happen. His music has been in my life as long as I can remember, thanks to my mother owning Songs of LC and SOLAH on vinyl.
I think I have good seats, but I know I will have my eyes closed. I’m wondering if I should scrape together the cash for Friday?
I read something on another thread about a meet up before. Any news on that?

Good heavens, would you REALLY want to meet most of these people?

dont think i'd be on for meeting people from here! just from reading this thread alone. hardly an endearing bunch
ANYWAY, I think its great news that Damien Rice is the support. He is much better live than on record. I've seen him a few times in a small pub packed with less than 100 people, years before O was released, and later in larger venues. It was always a great gig. Pity Lisa Hannigan isn't singing with him anymore as she really complimented his music and performance. Been a few years now so it'll be great to see him again.
He must have impressed Len at the Music Hall of Fame induction where Damien sang Hallelujah. Also, I think it is fitting to have someone who is such a big fan to the support.
What a great evening's entertainment and all just a short walk from my home

Please remember that some of the banter here is meant to be humourous. The printed word does not always translate this very well
We are not all grumpy old men or women! Not all the time anyway

Nobody parties like the Irish William, and we don't need back stage passes to have a brilliant time either!

By that remark I take it that you aren't the lucky one either!!
Think he went for the younger model??
Or was nationality the deciding factor?
Margaret, is there something you'd like to tell us?
