Who knows ?....

I don't think that anyone has "shot the messenger". Yes we ARE grateful for the fantastic work Jarkko does but that doesn't alter the fact that AEG does not need to announce an announcement. If something is ready to be said then let it be said, if there is nothing to announce then don't announce anything. AEG are at fault here - maybe they should remember that, without their customers - the fans who attend concerts - they would not have a business. Really this is a case of extremely poor customer service/relations on their part.

Thanks for this.

For anyone who doesn't speak French, the last bit basically says he has seen the word "cancelled" in a confidential email in English concerning the March dates, and that he has also seen the word "rescheduled" concerning the same dates.

If so it is annoying to say the least that you can stil get tickets for some of these shows :?

I think that the big issue here is that so many people are desperate to know either what is going on or what to expect going forward.

There seems to be huge amounts of rumour and conjecture which is no good for anyone.

Quite simply, I think we need to know -

What is causing the delay?
Are existing ticket purchases safe for the bookings made?
or, at least, when we can expect to have clarity on the situation regarding both existing and future dates? This week? Next week?

I know that it is not always easy to keep everyone happy, but the level of expectation and excitement has been high for the 2010 World Tour, so some information to give some expected timelines would be much appreciated.

Isn't it rather more than this: indeed it could be considered to be fraudulent on the part of AEG and their agents to still offer tickets IF they are aware of problems which might affect the staging of such events.

Thirteen named Cohenites browsing this part of the forum, plus 26 unnamed guests ... yes, we are worried, aren't we?

On the contrary, I for one am grateful for the removal of the dates and indication that an announcement was expected. We may not know what is happening, or why, but it has put us on notice that SOMETHING is happening and stopped those of us who had not yet booked ALL their travel etc arrangements for March from incurring further non-refundable costs. "Every little helps" as one big UK supermarket chain likes to say.

The Forum may have removed the dates BUT AEG and Ticketmaster's affiliates in Europe are still showing tickets for sale! If they know something we don't then I repeat my earlier thought that this could be considered to be fraudulent on the part of AEG and their agents.

It would be nice to know exactly where Patrice the Webmaster - Team Administrator from the French forum saw this annulés" et "restructuration" ?
I guess it all started for me sometime around Christmas 1967 and now, goodness me, it's.........2018 and over fifty years later.
No one ever listens to me. I might as well be a Leonard Cohen record.

Thank you Jarkko for all you've done over all the years.
You are our ears and voice for Leonard.
Thank you for that.
I eagerly await your upcoming 'announcement'

For AEG, Ticketmaster and other agencies the issue is simple on the money side. They are selling the tickets and until the date they have to pay for the event, or return money to those who are buying the tickets, they are free to work with that money. And there is lot of it in their bags today.

Perhaps!

If you take away the fact that Jarkko has said it is not about dates and not about sales, as he is one of us and we have no reason to doubt him and now "2010.. more" is on his signature, then there is only one thing it might be ..........a delay for Leonard himself, perhaps?
