Re: Just when I climbed this whole mountainside... (Wales 2009)
Since the 14th September when a so called football supporter visited Anfield, Liverpool's fortunes have taken a turn for the worse.I found evidence that Dave was reading the football instead of looking around.
It is thought that this unsavoury character has somehow jinxed a special team.
In the second photo he is standing by the manager's seat and if results continue in the way they have, he may inhabit it in on a permanent basis.

Thank you Paula.... I wonder what the gift is? Are you sending it in the post? If so, please be aware of the post strike. I'm quite happy for you to give me my gift when I see you next.Paula wrote:Pete I love your "traces of mists" you have a gift.
Is it edible? playable? readable? scrunchable? fragilable? visible? invisible? laughable? liquidable? gullible? worthalotable?
I can't wait

You may well be right, Dave. He'd better not visit the Ricoh Arena otherwise Coventry City may take a turn for the worst.....daveeliver wrote:Since the 14th September when a so called football supporter visited Anfield, Liverpool's fortunes have taken a turn for the worse.I found evidence that Dave was reading the football instead of looking around.

Just a minute!!!! When I first met Henning in the chatroom we used to talk footy and he'd have comments to make about my Cov CIty..... and look what happened a year later...they got relegated.
He's a jinx alright!!

You don't need any enemies if you've got friends like these. I only need to say that our local team had 32 wins in a row. They promoted last season and they are No. 1 already again. Do your homework boys.

Re: Just when I climbed this whole mountainside... (Wales 2009)
I've met the maths teacher on a number of occasions over the years, and I've always thought of him as an scoundrel, albeit a pleasant enough old scoundrel, posing as the author of 'The Diamon'd Mine.... but an imposter all the same.
The reason for my mistake was that I've always taken the photo on the back of Mr Pete Needham's excellent book 'The Diamond's Mine' as being a genuine photo of the author himself.
However today I found out that because of his desire for anonominty Mr Needham used a photo of a fellow forum member on the back of his excellent book 'The Diamond's Mine'.
However despite the author's scandalous behaviour I can still recommend his very funny book 'The Diamond's Mine' to anybody who has both a love of Leonard Cohen and a sense of humour..........

My dearest Mr Pete yes you do have a gift.
Obviously there will be a small handling charge before this gift can be processed. As I am sure you will understand the handling charge is just a small proportion to the value of the actual gift. I would therefore be grateful if you could send me a cheque in the sum of £1,021.23 and I will process this gift immediately.
I would be grateful also if you could let me have your bank details as it may well be there is a refund due back to you if your payment reaches me within 3 days of today’s date.
Yours most reverently Constantine Patience Nkaomo

I went to Yorkshire (Leeds) last weekend and I've come back with a terrible head cold.
Who says Yorkshire folk never give you anything?

What's the old saying about cockney's and the sound of Bow bells striking . Well you are only a true Yorkshireman if you live near a miner striking !

person prints, or stamps, or by any means impresses, on any bank note
any words, letters or figures, he shall, in respect of each offence,
be liable on summary conviction to a penalty not exceeding one pound.
The penalty was changed to 25 pounds in 1977 (Criminal Law Act, s.31) and to
200 poundsin 1982 (Criminal Justice Act, s.46)."
I understand that the same law applies to books which have the word 'diamond' in the title but because you're saying such nice things about the book I'm willing to waive the penalty

I have sent my bank details to a nice man in Nigeria who says I have won £1021 on a lottery. As soon as he pays this in I will forward the full amount.
I'm so excited about this gift you have for me.
