Yeah, well... I was so concerned about oversleeping that I awoke at 4:00... fed animals... did computer thing... layed back down, exhausted... and overslept

Damellon, a Swear All. Brilliant, I tell you, brilliant!!! But will it friggin' work? Is Jarkko taking this seriously and can anyone get him over to the negotiating table? It is fully laden with Mythos, demi-cucs and a bottle of ouzo. Oh, and Manna built you the most beautiful sand sculpture. Is it the burlesque poem, I couldn't quite make it out from here? Lizzy, what's your corset doing on Jarkko's chair? I thought you were mailing that.
My lay-off is fantastic. The car's back, my replacement ATM card's here and my new job with all my ex-co-workers and friends starts in about 5 weeks. Meanwhile I get to enjoy the last days of summer and spend loads of time with my brother. It's entirely possible that being unemployed may be severely underrated. Funny how things always seem to work out the way they're supposed to tho', isn't it? A profound thought, I know. I'm not certain where it came from.
Blonde Madonna, I know you're attached to your long tail but I still miss the other you too. Just can't get used to seeing you as man or dog (also no offense) so shall have to go on a post-it run manana.
So is Bluegrass our music theme?

Good to hear your news Christine. I was tempted to use just this cliche when posting about your bad news but I try not to use them since they get me into trouble.

The den is always free on Funday, it was designed specifically for that purpose. However first you must tell me what a half cuc is because I fear it may not be acceptable in mixed company.
ps OK I will do something about the avatar but Ania liked it, maybe you have to be Aussie to appreciate it.

Hi there Blonde Madonna - many thanks for considering the jettisoning of the avatar. Do you swear

- anything at all -deistic or visceral? Even something that you have to be Australian to appreciate? No need to be specific at this point. Swear words used to be considered as early forms of word magic. Just planning something to celebrate the coming of Autumn on this side of the Equator. We thought we could herald it in with one big simultaneous cuss. Would just like to know if you're on the side of the angels(us) on this one. Off to bed now. Take care

New avatar as promised, Pandora, a trouble-maker goddess.
As for your proposed plan damellon, my grandmother always said "nowt does any harm if tha doesn't overdo it".

Ah... mucho bettah... Pandora

.
Is her box filled with societally bad words, pushin', shovin', cussin', and takin' each others' names in vain, tryin' to be the first out? Is she having to force them to stay in? She looks slightly amused by their antics. A bit endeared even.
My corset!?! Oh d'raaat!!! Well, d'ya s'pose he'll be more... or less... bribeable now

? Gotta remember I'm the demi... not the full-fledged, full-bodiced Goddess. It was looking so good for us there for a minute, too.
G'night Goddesses...

. Perhaps, Plan B in the morning.

Here's what I'm on: moon milk and midnight oil cocktail.
I'll give you some if you write my thesis for me.

Well, missy (that's two of youse now), you're as incorrigible as I am.
There were no birthdays today but I think I saw half of Tri-me (are you sure a tree mite would be called Tri-me?) on 'the other place'. She's been acting and stuff.
I swore a lot today too. And then I fell over.
And I submit (barrister's hangover) that this is still more in keeping with the M-One way......
sandy
I have wandered off
with me short side
PS Has anyone else noticed how M-One is disappearing in bits and pieces?

GoddessChristine ~
As a demi, I am here to [sometimes] take note of things without making suggestions [the Goddesses's territory ~ like all of them s's? ].
Hence, I submit that I feel it is incumbent on me, with my demi duties, to bring to your attention a potential source of confusion, as to whether the above is the condition, or whether it has morphed into being the person to whom this poem is addressed. Just something you may want to take under advisement... and alter or not. Especially since it
seems [as I recall, rightly or not] that someone involved's spouse's name is Sandy [correction, someone, please]. Even if not, you may open yourself to endless questioning as to "Who is Sandy!?!" Something about the "y" takes the oomph out of the eternal sense of the simplicity of "sand" ~ suddenly, I feel like I'm at the beach with blankets and umbrellas, rather than on the Sahara or at the pyramids.
Just a suggestion...
For the love of Lizzy!
P.S. Yes, it seems M_One prefers to stop in just to stir things a bit and try to distract The Goddesses when they're hard at work... doing
something
.

I've heard of that Midnight Oil group, and I might have even listened to some of their stuff once upon a time. But I think this:

And while I'm at it, I'd like you to meet Sandy:

For the love of Manna! I should have known, this is my payback. OK, the Tom Waits song may well fit into our Edinburgh burlesque number, what do you think Dame Chi? But the sand sculpture stuff, although clever, was too 'new age' for me, sent me to sleep.
Cristine, cuc, what is it? As for the poem in progress I will brave some minor edits (Lizzy

):

Blonde Madonna -
Bit wary about saying anything at the moment.......have managed to step on too many forum toes in the last few days, but to solve the riddle of the cuc, you must think.....spiked drinks, wayward fingerpaints, drunk on the deck, honourable husbands .....what's missing? Have you checked the veggie garden? Sunday'll soon be here again!! I'm having a hard time at the moment. Really need cheering up.When's our knees-up at yours BM? Manna - can you bring some of your pick-me-up stuff? Will I be able to finish my thesis then? Haven't actually started one yet, but it's never too late. Christine - good to hear your enforced leisure agrees with you. Lizzie - take any calculated risk today?
BM - Avatar......so much lovlier, thank you. Need pleasure for the eye as well as the mind. Post-it now removed.
