Who else feels a lump in their throat when a full display of several Military Scottish Pipe and Drum Bands get into their stride. No wonder the enemies of the Scots soldiers were terrified, as large numbers of kilted-crazy-men, came at them accompanied by the stirring sounds of the bag-pipes. And no wonder that so many brave Scots lads went to their deaths following the sound of the pipes. It is a music which raises the heart-beat and the adrenaline. Wonderful.
Don't get me wrong here. I'm talking about the way music can alter a mind-set. I'm not gloryfying war. You only have to watch the first 30 minutes of 'Saving Private Ryan' to see the horror of war. Music can alter mood. Take you up, lay you down, give repose, give vent to emotions. When I'm particularly 'low' and I'm in the house on my own, it is Status Quo who lift me out of my lowly mood. They ain't quiet and they are terrific. I go Rockin' All Over The World..........

Is the tune going through your mind now ???????
Here we are and here we are and here we go...........(Right foot tapping the ground to the beat in your head) ?
