Hi Margaret,

Normally, what I do is type the name of the song I want the lyrics to into my search engine (Google) and it will take me to the site. For instance, I might type: lyrics to "Ain't No Sunshine When She's Gone" by Wovenhand, and the link or site will appear like magic! There are many such sites. Your search engine will (should) do all the work.

Good luck!

Linda.

When you get back here, push the quote button, get your blinking vertical line (I'm a real techie  ) and then right click, you'll see 'paste' left click that and your lyrics will be posted to the page. Just like that.

Weather Report

(as read by Jimmy Webb)

McArthur Park is melting in the dark,
all the sweet green icing flowing down.
Someone left the cake out in the rain;
I don't think that I can take it
for it took so long to bake it,
and I'll never have that recipe again...
oh no!!!!!!!

Now that's what I call a weather report :D :D

Weather Report
as writsung by Johnny Cash
You are my sunshine
My only sunshine.
You make me happy
When skies are grey.
You'll never know, dear,
How much I love you.
Please don't take my sunshine away

The other nite, dear,
As I lay sleeping
I dreamed I held you in my arms.
When I awoke, dear,
I was mistaken
And I hung my head and cried.

You are my sunshine,
My only sunshine.
You make me happy
When skys are grey.
You'll never know, dear,
How much I love you.
Please don't take my sunshine away.
Please don't take my sunshine away.

[I just couldn't help getting back in line, again, when this one came to me....the result of the cake in the rain :D .]

Ain't no sunshine when she's gone
Only darkness every day
Ain't no sunshine when shes' gone
And this house just ain't no home
Any time she goes away

Weather report
as read by Tom Waits
It's more than rain that falls on our parade tonight
It's more than thunder it's more than thunder
It's more than a swindle this crooked card game
It's more than sad times it's more than sad times
None of our pockets are filled with gold
Nobody's caught the boquet
There are no dead presidents we can fold
Nothing is going our way
And it's more than goodbye i have to say to you
It's more than woe-be-gotten grey skies now

Weather Report

(as read by Burt Bacharach and Hal David)

Raindrops keep falling on my head
and just like the guy whose feet are too big for his bed
nothin' seems to fit
those raindrops are falling on my head, they keep falling.
So I just did me some talking to the sun
and I said I didn't like the way he'd got things done
sleeping on the job;
those raindrops keep falling on my head , they keep falling......

you know the rest, I hope, otherwise I'm kidding you on, and the sun won't dance.
Andrew.

Weather Report read by Mungo Jerry
In the summertime when the weather's high,
you can stretch right up and touch the sky,
when the weather's fine,
you got women, you got women on your mind.
Have a drink, have a drive,
go out and see what you can find.

If her daddy's rich, take her out for a meal.
If her daddy's poor, just do as you feel.
Speed along the lane,
Do a ton, or a ton and twenty-five.
When the sun goes down, you can make it,
make it good in a lay-by.

We're not grey people, we're not dirty, we're not mean.
We love everybody, but we do as we think.
When the weather's fine
we go fishing or go swimming in the sea.
We're always happy,
life's for living, yeah, that's our philosophy.

Sing along with us, dee-dee-dee-dee-dee.
Da-da-da-da-da...Yeah, we're happy happy,
da-da-da-da-dah.
How's that Linda ? 8)

Hello Margaret,

What a wonderful copy of a wonderful song! This song is truly a 'summer' song. Perfect, all the way around.

Pretenders Don't Get Me Wrong
Suddenly thunder, showers everywhere, who can explain the thunder and rain but there's something in the air.
The Pogues Anniversary
The dawn shines her light
To scare off the night
And the sun from his slumber is woken
The bells are ringing out
As the town crier shouts
Words too strong to be spoken

There’s a rumble in the ground
And the air fills with sound
Trumpets in the wind are a’ blowing
The townsfolk peep
Through the curtains of sleep
To the sound of the cocks all a’ crowin

The winds may blow
Come rain, come slow
Today’s for you and me
I gave my heart to you my love
You gave your heart to me
Tom Waits Diamonds on my Windshield
Well these diamonds on my windshield
And these tears from heaven
Well I'm pulling into town on the Interstate
I got a steel train in the rain
And the wind bites my cheek through the wing
And it's these late nights and this freeway flying
It always makes me sing
