Dearest Jarkko and dearest Eija ~

I missed seeing this greeting post when I was here on Christmas Eve, so my wishes come late.

Your photo, Eija, is exquisite, with the warmth of the red tulips and its green amidst the sparkling cold of the ice against blue sky. Heavenly and other-worldly. So creative and so you. It reminds me of the two of you in the cold and icy Finland, not coincidentally deemed the happiest country in the world.

I'm deeply concerned about Eija's health. She has always been so vibrantly alive and healthy in every way. My prayers for Eija and her full recovery, and for both of you, as the illness of one fully involves the other. I know you are being as attentive as she needs you to be, and I'm glad you are retired so you can more easily be there with and for her.

So, Merry Christmas... and a much better and healthier New Year, Eija and Jarkko. My heart is with you both.
