Yes, it is a little quiet around here. I little too quiet, if you ask me.
C2: Maybe if you were short, difficult and easy, you would have a better chance. Not with Joe, not with me, but certainly with someone.

I think you're right C2, let's hope the Judgy Wudgy doesn't have a similar prejudice.
Linda: just take it...
C2: the interthingy lady can be as partial as she chooses, she will do her intermediate duty. She won't try to make a slender mast out of the Christmas Tree I might post, but simply forward. everything. Joe, our judge, will be as impartial as a judge can be (meaning: he'll follow his own prejudice about what a good poem is.
I trust in the officials. But, of course, it's not sure, whether I participate at all...

his proper title is "Judgy Wudgy", do try to get it right. It's a matter of respect for authority.
c2 (who hasn't even begun his bloody poem yet on the bloody awful topic of "Winter")

The forum clock says it is now, Thursday, January 20th so the contest is over.
Thank you to all who've participated. Linda has not sent me all of the poems and I made the decision to wait to start judging until I had received them all-so I haven't started yet.
You'll have to give me a couple of days, now. I hope to have the results by this weekend.
Congratulations, poets.

Before the results or the poems themselves get posted here, I have been wanting for ages to comment on how much I liked Midnight's poem for the last contest. It was so original and innovative, with the person going up to heaven, et al [and, as I'm recalling, the pennies in the eyes]. I thought that poem was very creative. There! Finally! Now, I should really go find it, so I can comment more specifically.

Jus' go on back to heaven, Seedy. We'll wake you next lifetime. You're s'posed to have a better sense of what's going on down here than that.
How do flamming hot winter rags compare to flaming ones?

by linda_lakeside
Maybe the flamming ones aren't quite as hot as the flaming ones.

Hello One, Hello All,
Judge Joe Way has asked me to let you know that he is in the process of Judging the entries. As you can imagine, Joe's been quite busy and could use a bit of R&R.
Joe will be indisposed and gracefully skiing about his State this weekend. He will continue his Judgly duties next week.
Thank you for your kind patience,
~ Linda
