Thank you Jarkko!
With a number of forum members who are excellent in searching youtube, twitter,......maybe they'll be able to find something a bit more recent.
Hartmut - because I don't do Facebook, I wasn't able to access your reference to 'Farmville'. I was able to see some photos of men named 'Bob Metzger' but could get no further info. Could you please explain? Thank you.
Kindest regards,
Mary

Farmville is a hugely time-wasting social-networking game on Facebook. If that's "our" Bob Metzger playing, I hope he eases himself out of its clutches soon...MaryB wrote: Hartmut - because I don't do Facebook, I wasn't able to access your reference to 'Farmville'. I say this as a recovering "farmer."

Thank you Helen. Glad to see you are in remission.

Re: How is Bob Metzger?
I'm a bit late to this thread, but I thought I'd drop in and mention that Mr. Metzger appears to be doing well and is certainly playing well. These days, he has been performing with the New Hampshire-based Country Felix Band. Even though honky tonk music isn't my usual vibe, I enjoy going to their shows and watching Bob work the fretboard. It's delightful to hear his out-of-the-box playing and polished musicianship. In fact, I hadn't listened to much Leonard Cohen before becoming a fan of Bob's.

Re: How is Bob Metzger?
If any of you are still following this thread, I'm pleased to let you know that Bob Metzger recorded an album with Massachusetts band Shotgun Waltz called Shifting Gears. His guitar work on it is as good as it gets and, in my opinion, ranks as one of the great guitar records of all time. *Maybe* not at the top of the list given the heavyweights of history, but it's so good that it belongs on the list and should be studied as an exemplar of tasteful playing, meaningful part writing, epic lead playing, and tone. I'd be interested to hear what you all think of it.
