I think it a realistic setlist with some guilty pleasures i'dd have to admit (diamonds in the mine, smokey life). But i think a version of The smokey life with the new band and L.C.'s old deep voice can't be anything less than perfect (just the same for 'humbled in love').

I think all the songs from old ideas will be on the setlist (anyhow probably not!?), and if it be your will (webb sisters version) will be changed in come healing (webb sisters version) or show me the place (webb sisters version).

Cheers.

I agree, and I love your setlist! I'd toss in Joan of Arc, too!

transl : Each evening he'll be on stage approx. 3 hours and will perform 'Ain't no cure for love', 'Bird on a wire', 'Who by fire', 'Tower of Song', 'Hallelujah', 'I'm your man', 'Take this Waltz', 'Suzanne', 'Chelsea Hotel', 'Famous Blue Raincoat', 'So long, Marianne', 'If it be your will' and 'I tried to leave you' as well as a selection from 'Old Ideas' .

I really hope that The Partisan will not be forgotten in his setlist (for instance I wouldn't understand why Ain't no cure for love should be included if there is no place for the beautiful Partisan)

the ideal setlist for me would include The Partisan, FBR, The Gypsy's Wife (especially now that there is a violin, let us hope that he will sing some songs from the beautiful Recent Songs), Avalanche and above all NANCY!!!!!!!

He has to keep 'I'm Your Man', not because it's one of my favorites, but just because he is.

I really want to hear "Tonight Will Be Fine" and "Memories." And of course lots of stuff from the new CD. And "Feels So Good."

I very much hope that the setlist of the previous tour would not be repeated. As it is called “Old Ideas” tour, I expect that at least 5 songs from the recent album will be included, perhaps more, as well as songs that are to go in the next album (such as “Born In Chains”). Now that there’s also a violin, I also hope that a few older songs will be revived, in particular “The Window”. My regret is that Dana Glover is not included in place of the Webb Sisters, but I guess he’s committed to them.

THE WINDOW

.......it just has to happen!
ah DB, let's hope so!!

....and I also would have liked to have heard Dana Glover and definitely Jennifer Warnes again......but I'm not being greedy here, just totally thankful that Alex has graced us with his violin. :D

In my humble opinion, a Song for Bernadette by Jennifer Warnes or Priests by Judy Collins or God is Alive, Magic is Afoot by Buffy Sainte Marie could be extremelly interesting and beautifull sung and performed by the Webb Sisters.

here is my ideal setlist, including 5 songs from Old Ideas, 1 song from the Future, 2 songs from I'm Your Man, 3 from Various Positions, 4 from Recent Songs (because of the violin now part of the band!), 3 from New Skin for Old Ceremony, 2 from Songs of Love and Hate, 4 from Songs from a Room, and 4 from Songs of LC.

Do you think this is a realistic setlist?

I really hope he will sing Nancy (!!), the Partisan, Gypsy's Wife, FBR and Avalanche :-)

I will attend first concert in Ghent, so see you there :-)
