You are right, it is not listed at Croatian Trains or D-Bahn website anymore... Cannot believe...
But there's much faster connection - Zagreb via Villach to Venezia Mestre and then to Verona, only 10 hours on train.

tom....a trip to venice wouldn't be complete now without me standing around in santa lucia station at 7 in the morning surrounded by all the poor homeless people and alcoholics waking up on their benches whilst i'm waiting for you to arrive on the overnight train from zagreb...which of course is always late ......and you did see the arena and dante's statue and the cathedral wHere i was muchly impressed by you translating all the latin inscriptions into english for me...it must have been all the excitement of touching giulietta's breast and then going up onto her balcony that has erased everything else about verona from your memory.... ta ken

tom...it was around christmas time when we were in verona we didn't go into the arena itself but verona's famous christmas star was there for all to see...now surely you couldn't forget something as beautiful as that......ta ken

Oh yes, I remember now. Apparently the air photo is much more striking - I did not notice it... as it seems smaller than Roman Arena in Pula in Croatia (the ideal venue for Leonard, but alas...)

Hi Ken and Tom.
I remember Tom was very tired when last time he arrived in Verona from Travelling and he also got very cold feet in the concert Pizzeria , so maybe some details of the trip were just removed by Tom and he had a short bed , so his cold feet could not warm up that night , so a sort of nightmare maybe keept in his mind
Tom this time you get a bigger bed
Ken I can testimony that it was not just a dream
We hope to see you both in Verona , the famous Venice Duo Ken & Tom
Andrea

wybe....being a connoisseur on the italian spritz i can see from the colour that those glasses contain aperol and not campari...if ever i was invited to join the verona action committee i'm afraid i would have to insist on banning aperol from the proceedings.... for me there is no other choice for the spritz but campari...campari for me has always been a symbol of italian passion...a passion that expresses itself in terms of seduction sensuality and transgression....and it also has twice the alcoholic strength as aperol.....it's either that or i join maarten in the coca cola bar.....ta ken
