It's an indelible reality, C2 ~ one that even Almighty Jarkko is powerless to conceal. It's the basis for an ongoing lament of mine.

it must be my fuzzy head in the morning but what are you 2 talking about in your respective last messages!
if the moment has passed, don't feel you have to explain!

ok, so while the bickering is over, c2, i ask:
WILL there even be a topic? or are you just not going to be the one to choose it? i'm anxious to start writing...... that is only why. haha.

I really don't want to be the one to choose it as it will inevitably excite the baby trolls here to shout fix, (the alternative of joining the fun and writing poetry being too dull for them).
I think, T, that January might be a better idea. Martine, brilliantly qualified by her association with top lawyers, is poised to act as Judge. We still need someone to play the Lizzy intermediary role. I think either of them can choose the topic.
The only other change I would make to last time's format is that each entry should have its own thread after the judging is over. That way the crits. and comments are easier to follow.

I agree that each poem should have its own thread, after the judging. Finding them later for additional commenting will also be made easier with this change. By January, I should be okay for being the intermediary, if you like. Well, I'm volunteering for the role, anyway. Not much to it, and I know I can be trusted to not reveal identities or interfere with the process.
Martine is fine with me for judging, but your reasoning could be suspect. What does association with high-falutin' lawyers and judges have to do with one's ability to judge poetry?
Selection of topic? How about Jarkko for that. Think he might be willing?
Oh dear. Gotta get ready to travel for Thanksgiving.

ok, well... this is getting a bit too confusing.
whenever the time comes and the people are chosen, give us all the info we need: who, what, when, and where.

I didn't see Martine's posting before I did mine. We were apparently typing them at the same time. It's fine with me if Martine is the intermediary ~ as long as she is beyond influence

. Absolute
MUM is the word regarding
ALL entries ~ regardless of temptation! Of course, Critic2 would be doing the
honourable thing to be the super judge, but what painful torture it would be to inflict upon him, when he'll obviously be straining at the reins to submit

! However, I may have to join MarkB regarding the high standards, if I want to start talking about who's [ahem] overqualified here.
Whatever your choices may be is fine with me

.
Cia ~ Well, wouldn't you want a certain someone to reincarnate for this particular contest? And have a thread all of one's own?
