All poems will be judged on their own, individual merits; so, I can't think of any reason why more than one from one person would be an issue. Who knows? It could be written in an entirely different style than the first one. One person's one is still just as likely to stand up against another person's two, considered one at a time.
Hey, Laurie ~ Since voting is in the air, anyway, guess we can just declare it a landslide. No hanging chads on this end. How about yours?
Paging Lizzie
I think I'll post my already-chosen theme at 12:00 PM EST, which will be 4:00 PM GMT. That way, anyone who uses their workplace computer, and works U.S.-standard, business hours, won't have to wait till exactly 5:00 before they shut down. Laurie and I have discussed it, and we've decided that it's not necessary to use the 'theme' statement as a phrase within the poem. Just go with your application of the theme. It is too likely to seem too contrived if the exact phrase must appear. Anyone else have strong feelings to the contrary? If so, it's still negotiable. The theme I've chosen is Cohenesque; asexual; and ripe with possibilities for interpretation. I hope you like it.
Does anyone have any objections to 5:00 PM GMT being the deadline on Monday for submission of poems? That would be 9:00 PM EST [as I'm figuring the time differences ~ please correct me if I'm wrong].
