I finally resolved this delima in my iTunes library by making a new genre creatively named "Leonard Cohen" and sticking all his music there. Very few other artists are so difficult to stick into an existing genre. Sometimes artists bridge a genre or two or four, but how many are as unique as leonard? I sure can't find many examples.

Thanks for your list, LisaLCfan - I agree with it, and looked for "rock" in vain - because I'm still wondering why he was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame! (I think it's because some NYC critic coined the term
"folk rock" to describe Dylan's songs, and after that anyone similar was lumped into that category. Are there any of his songs that anyone would describe as "rock & roll"?
