I think we all need to take a deep breath and try to relax. I doubt there will be any announcement of anything until after the Lifetime Achievement Grammy dinner in LA tonight. There may be some re-organizing going on in regards to the Tour which might have to do with problems with promoters. This is just a guess.

If, for some reason, Jarkko is not able to make it to Zagreb, that may explain why it's missing from his signature. Tom Sakic has just mentioned that posters of Leonard and the concert are all over the city. So far it appears that the cancellation is Moscow (sorry gilly-rjd :( ) but everything else still seems to be in place.

Calm down, people! In my experience, Jarkko only builds up the tension like this when it is good news. Bad news he publishes immediately, without warning.

He's supposed to attend the Grammy ceremony within a few hours. If he's there, we know for sure he's all right.
Is there a way to find out if he really shows up there ?
I think we all would be immensely pleased to know if he's ok.

"Important information" is what is announced : does it mean only one information is to be expected ?

Obviously, Moscow is cancelled : is it the information ? Is there anything else ?

If it is, why Jarkko or leonardcohenfiles.com are still silent and don't publish this information ?

well, let's try again to be patient ....

The news 'll probably come from the states, where it is day time and just the middle of the day. For us in Europe it's time to go to sleep, and we will have to discover tomorrow morning what was all this about (And maybe it's just something about a new band, a new line-up, anything ... who knows ?)

And Slovakia-Bratislava is not on the list. So the concert in Bratislava, is not it?

11.march-france
13.march-Bratislava ?????
15.march-Zagreb

Not perhaps? Why?

What I find odd in
Important information about the tour will be posted in the News section on Jan 30/31.
is that all the Tour dates that were listed very neatly earlier on today under "TOUR 2010" have disappeared, and the new information will be in the NEWS section rather than in the TOUR section. It sort of suggests that all the dates have been put on hold and that the explanation for this will be news, i.e. not simply the cancellation of the Moscow date...

Hi

whatever this announcment is , if it is the cancellation of the tour, let not be greedy, i lucklily have seen him twice over the last 2 years, and will always remember when i saw him.
I would love to see him again, but only if he was in fully able to tour, lest we forget, he is his 70's and has toured fairly extensinvely over the last couple of year's which is amazing. Maybe a tour 2010 was just a bit too ambitious.
He has being nominated again for a meteor award here in Ireland for best live international award, which he won last year, which is an amazing achievement really.
So Leonard, whatever the news is, let it be good news.

I think it's not about being greedy, I'm just worried sick. I hope he is well, that's all.
(Of course I haven't give up hope seeing him again this year. ;-) )

Seems bizarre that anything will happen to the dates set in France (or hopefully anywhere else), as Gerard Drouot Productions, who are dealing with the concerts here, are still selling tickets online. One might think they would have suspended them if there was anything amiss. But..........fingers crossed anyway :)

I did notice on Jarkko's signature he still has 2010:
so that is a good sign.

I wonder if its either time off for recording
or a completely different tour than we expected..
but what do I know?
I missed all the excitement but as I drove home from work
Lady Di was reading the posts to me and telling me what was going on as I was off the forum today
and then she actually put the streaming at a high volume and I could hear Leonard reciting..
not clearly but I could hear it!
Thanks Diana! You are a sweetheart!

So here's a question...
If a show is cancelled, they refund your ticket money, but do they refund the 'service charge''? Could be a reason to keep selling tickets, albeit a sleazy one. Also could be they haven't been informed yet either.

I see that the 'ticket trade' thread is gone, which could mean that you don't need to sell your extras, you can get a refund.

I sure hope it is still a go in France! I just finished preparing my proposed itinerary for the whole France tour and had decided to post and commit on Feb. 1, a month before the start. Now I see this thread...

Personally, I see no reason to post anything so vague in the first place. Just my opinion. I am sure there's a reason, there's an arm, there's a hand. But it sure stopped me from planning anything further :-)

Mostly glad that he appears well!

Cheers,
Ken(adian)

Hi Ken,

Hang in there until tomorrow. We should know more then. It's all very confusing but Leonard looked great at the awards ceremony and I was thrilled that he was with Anjani! But some of his comments were rather cryptic and with the strange happenings on the Forum, not too reassuring at the moment. Perhaps a new album, delaying further concert dates. Perhaps a whole revamp on the tour...I know there were problems with promoters. But I am SURE France would stay as it is.

As the stomach turns.....
