Yes, Mwaldman , was listening to that last night, lovely rhythm in it. I'm on Joan of Arc at he moment, the version of it on Songs of Love and Hate in which Leonard speaks the first and last verse. Addictive !

My favourite, at the moment, would be Take This Longing followed closely by Light As The Breeze.

RIGHT NOW it is time to take my two spaniels for their evening walk and I take them down a long desolate path . Each night I sing a LC song to give me some emotional strength after a long hard day in this sometimes cruel world . Tonight will be fine ( no thats not the song I will be singing ) I think I will treat myself to a couple of verses of "Bird on a wire "
My spaniels will approve of the choice I am sure . They have not complained so far

For some reason, I've been hooked on The Story of Isaac lately. Maybe it's the time of year. It is, afterall, the Torah portion right after the High Holy Days. It's not an easy song to listen to and I can't actually say I "enjoy" it. It just eats away at my being somehow.

The other one that is top of the list right now is "You Have Loved Enough". Another haunting song. Love the line, "When hatred with his package comes, you forbid delivery."

Recent Songs I think poetically is his most beautiful album.

The Window is one of my favorites also. There are just too many that I love to pick just one for any length of time. The part that speaks to me from The Window is:

This verse is very Kabalistic in it's depth/height. To me it shows the essance of the rose/simple matter rising up the Tree of Life to the very pinnacle of reaching the Holy One/Ein Sof Or and then descending to humanity. Listening to this song, I can almost see the cycle of matter becoming pure energy, joining with the Creator of All and then becoming the creation.

Right now, it would be Famous Blue Raincoat,I think the chorus[Jane came by with a lock of ]is one of the most beautiful pieces of music ever recorded.

Right now addicted to "Lets sing another song, boys" from the Isle of Wight cd. Just an incredibly passionate live performance, makes me shiver every time.

Right now, it would be "Chelsea Hotel", any version - funny, not even an all-time favourite of mine, such as "Famous Blue Raincoat", "Avalanche", "Dress Rehearsal Rag", "Dance Me" or "Take This Waltz" are. But still, I just cannot stop listening right now...

Hi all. I'm in St.Louis tonight ready for the concert tomorrow (Sat 11/7) I volunteered to give Bridger 15 a ride from Nashville to St.Louis since I had to go thru Nashville on my way anyhow. She accepted my invitation and we had a wonderful time on the road trip....in spite of one major delay when a truck driver decided to flip his 18 wheeler across the highway (no one hurt, just a blocked highway for 2+ hrs). Anyhow, I told her I was going to post her new favorite LC song on here for her. I'm sure she'll have more to say later about the trip and the show. I don't buy albums as a rule. I just purchase individual songs that I especially like from iTunes. My collection isn't very large.......yet, but I have about 2 full CDs to play in the car. So, of course, I was playing these on the trip. We had been going along for several miles with her saying things like, "Oh, I LOVE that one. What album is it from?" and such things. All of a sudden she lets out a squeal of glee and "WHERE DID YOU GET THAT???? I've never heard that one before!" The song which then had to be played several times non-stop, was "Fingerprints"!!!!!! It has been one of my favorites since I came across it on YouTube, but it is DEFINITELY Bridger15's newest favorite!!!!!!

If I had to pick just one favorite song right now, I think it would be The Butcher, but from the live versions of the 1976 tour that I managed to gather. I always tended to skip this song in SFAR because I found it monotonous and never really listened to the lyrics. But imh the live versions are much more powerful and the arrangement more appropriate for the emotions LC wanted to deliver. And I love the way he shouted in it!

My second favorite right now would be Memories, from live versions also because it makes me laugh and it's obvious that everybody had fun playing it!

I will certainly choose another songs tomorrow, but these are the songs I am playing over and over today!

I can choose exactly which song I like most, because every song has something beautiful in itself. But already when I write, then Anthem, First We Take Manhattan, So Long,Marianne, Hey,That´s No Way To Say Goodbye. To rather appoint all.
