Okay...I am entering the realm of the "crazies"! Just snagged 2 really-not-so-bad tickets for MSG :D :D :D :D Section 95 Loge. Mind you, it's not in the first couple of rows which I usually try for 8) , but never planned on MSG. However, since I made the decision to attend the ceremony at the Chelsea earlier in the month, it's been eating at me every day for the past couple of weeks. Would check TM each day and suddenly these seats popped up today! Decided it would be an early Christmas present for my friend (who lives in NJ) and who can't afford a concert but adores Leonard!

Right now I am so ecstatic....but so poor. However, that's only cash-poor.....my soul is the richer for this! :D :D

Funny you should say that Diana. I too have been checking TM every day. I am really trying to resist MSG. There are a thousand and one reasons why I shouldn't go to it and MSG is not the Beacon or RCMH. I even resisted a second row ticket on the far right hand side yesterday (how's that for strong willed?) but if that front row seat just happens to pop up I won't think twice .......

Wendy...second row right side...omg...to die for! Well, for this one there is NO way I can afford those fab seats since I've bought 2 tickets, but I am so thrilled to be going and even more thrilled that my friend who could never in a million years afford a ticket, will be there too! She is "over-the-moon" right now! Heck, it's not real money...it's a credit card! :D It seems it is my mission in life this past year to support Visa and Mastercard! I'm sure they will support me when I need it.... Come on Wendy...go for it....actually, you seem to be easy (my sympathies to your husband), so hopefully I'll see you in New York!

Sue..looking forward to meeting you at the Chelsea, and hopefully we can have a meetup before the concert. My tickets aren't will-call but will try to slip in with the Forum members for perhaps a little meet-up with the band! You have NO idea how excited I am tonight.....hope to sleep...and perchance to dream......Leonard..... 8)

That's great news, Diana. I confess that I have been checking for tickets too and am REALLY tempted to come to New York. I have enough Air Miles for the flight, so it would just be the cost of the concert and hotel, so.... :?

Diana,
I imagine there will be quite a few of us at the Chelsea needing to pick up our will-call tickets, so perhaps we could all go up together... My understanding is that the early entrance at Radio City and probably other venues was for forum members, whether or not they had will-call tickets. We haven't heard yet that there will be the same kind of opportunity this time around... who knows, we may get lucky once again.
Best wishes,
Sue

Hi Sue, I think Jarkko mentioned that once the Tour returns to the US, there will be an opportunity for a band meet-up during the will-call pickup....sort of within the 30 minute span similar to the spring! That is indeed very nice :D Again, looking forward to everything!

And Mary....come on down to New York! Grab one of those seats that are floating around. We only live once. Well, maybe not. Perhaps Visa could hang on a bit until our next life ;-) .

Oooohhh!! How is this done, please? We've got will-call MSG tix...what happened in Spring? I'd die (and not happy! ) if I missed it. We're at the Chelsea, too. May we join you, New Yorkers? :D :D

Sourire,
At Radio City in May they opened the doors early (I forget exactly what time, but Jarkko posted it), and we were able to go in and meet a few of the band members, also buy merchandise. We just lined up at the door and went in: really simple, and didn't have to show anything except our tickets. It was wonderful, and it'll be great if they do that again.
If you're going to be in NYC that day, are you planning to come to the Chelsea Hotel ceremony at 2pm?

Hi Sourire,

Since you are staying at the Chelsea you will be right there for the ceremony...2pm. Full info is on the thread for Leonard's 75th birthday celebration and the Chelsea plaque. And, this was from Jarkko's post just before the latest European tour..
viewtopic.php?f=35&t=15651&st=0&sk=t&sd=a#p184147

Although we haven't heard anything definite, what happened in the Spring was that the doors would open to Forum/will-call fans at 630pm. Merchandise table and bar would also be open. Band members would circulate to chat, and then at 7pm the doors would be open to the public. It's an extra special plus for us! :D

You're right, Diana, I just re-read Jarkko's post that you provided the link for. It definitely sounds as though it may happen again!
