I have known Geoffrey for a long time and I don't think that he would try to put people in the position of being someone else's judge. I think that maybe Cate , you , I and others are being asked to have a little understanding and not to do things to make matters worse.

Geoffrey, your are, what my mother would have called a ligner. You are a naughty liar rather than a malicious one and I think, when you are on form, you are still quite good value. however, you seem to be off form these days and have now blundered by forgetting that Cate saw an earlier version of your post and may remember you claimed you had invited me 3 times to be you Facebook friend. you have taken a risk with that particular fib, min lille Norsk nutter

as you well know, Cate, I did host a tea party for you all. everything was going well until the Open Mike session. Jack recited a 12 hour story about himself and then read a "poem" about his knees. At this point the crowd shouted "UNCORE, UNCORE" and pointed finger sandwiches at Geoffrey for being such a liar. I managed to regain order, people began to have fun again, until Leonard Cohen arrived and inflicted Bird On The Wire on his innocent audience. I left my house and have never returned. Jack left his sense of humour and it has never returned. Leonard left for Mount Baldy and has never returned. My hair left my head and it has never returned. Who wants to mount Baldy?

oh yes yes - I remember now, it was just that violet and I were in the backroom drinking blueberry tea while Imaginary friend was giving us lessons regarding ... ummm.... let's just just say lessons .... so I missed part of the main action, Manna was there too but I think we forgot to untie her when you brought the cake out.

Do you mean 'løgner'? You can also say 'løgnhals', but that is a little bit stronger. One of my most valued books is in Danish; old like me, but fascinating. I have a copy of the deleted message read by yourself and Cate, but reading it again you most likely would not wish to do.

You mentioned this earlier, the fact that I acknowledged not your sending. Thought I had reached and thanked everyone who had contacted me, but must have overlooked the communication from you, for I remember it not. The circumstances of the time were such that I suffered more anguish than was necessary, and that may have contributed to the losing of your message. I apologise, and can only attribute my silent response to the state of turmoil in which I then existed. As you correctly say, I do have a "natural reserved personality", but that had nothing to do with you not receiving a thank you from me. It would be interesting to know who informed you of my situation, what you wrote to me - and what media you used to forward your words - but reticence to do so must remain your privilege.

I was pleased someone shared so I had the chance to pass on my condolences, but who it was who told me isn't memorable. I am sorry if you think it is important. I am 90% sure it was a woman but that's as far as my memory stretches.

it would have been aggressive had i written 'liar'. i chose 'untrue' because you wished to protect somebody. you wished to protect a judas by feigning memory loss, but the irresistible urge to convey knowledge of my situation betrayed the discretion to which you were entrusted. in other words, your ego permitted you not to avoid magniloquence. to be fair to your 'informer', you should not have publicly divulged knowledge given to you in confidence. this is why you are now cornered into telling an untruth - or lie. give me a name and on the devil put shame.

I don't know what your issue is, and I don't feel it is intriguing enough to enquire further. my message to you was sent in private and I only mentioned it on the forum after you mentioned your loss in a post. there is something really unattractive about you lying on this subject.
