Hi Taubchen,
why don't you try to find a babysitter for that evening. Ask the Hotel where you go to if they can help you .
You will enjoy it more relaxed and also if small Leonard does not like it (remember it can last 3 hours) or if he is not in a good mood that day (can be also very hot) , it might be not a good experience for you and for him either......actually I do not know whether little kids can get in really. I would inform myself very well before going there, would be a pity not beeing relaxed or not getting in, having also spent a lot of money for this beautiful event.
If you cannot find a solution, I can also ask a friend who lives in Venice if she knows a babysitter.

Ciao and saluti
Andrea
we have met in Lucca , can you remember :-)

In two of the concerts I've seen there were parents with very small children. Both had to leave in the middle of the concert because they could not make the kids stop crying, and the audience around the families began to get angry.

thanks

andrea yes i know, i talk about it with my man and i will see

and thanks jarrko,

we know thats a problem when little leonard doesnt want, in lucce was no problem with the children, if we have a babysitter we take one if not, we must look how it goes with leonard in the concert, but i have to say that till now it was never a problem with him we was last year until 3 am away on a festival and he was sleeping in his buggy and it was no problem,

stevew486, Leonard has the central mixing desk (at least on two shows I was, including Lucca - the desk was in the middle of square there).
I will try again, namely A10 is too much on the side to me, I would be looking at Dino Soldo and Javier from there.
Opposite corner sounds better (the sisters:P)

Taubchen , it is different in a place where a festival is (like Wiesen) or like Loerrach last year , as you can go around in case you have to move. In a place like san marco, where everyone is sitting still, and you should not move at all when Leonard Cohen is singing, with silence around, it will be hard. The place in Lucca was different, a different town, different people and even there where silent moments.Venice is particular.
Take our suggestions as a good treasure....for you, for your little Leonard, for big Leonard and the people sitting close to you  it must be a relaxing venue for all partecipants.
We all had children ;-)
ciao
Andrea

i know what you want to say. its really a problem because leonard cohen is playing around 3 hours. our little leonard is really the mostly time quiet and is happy when he is somewhere arround of people but 3 hours as i say can be a problem

we will see if we get a babysitter or not. we are going to wiesen to, and we want ONE concert of leonard cohen that our little leonard is also there and can here teh music also. but in wiesen they scribed no children until they are 6. but we will see.

but another thing

it would be nice to see you again, whith our little leonard

Not only that we buying online, half year in advance, but we're also buying the cat in the bag, completely blindly. After this tour finishes, I think I will throw up every time somebody will say "ticketmaster", "eventim" or "ticketone".

Isn't touring with Leonard most educating re the local ways of doing business all over the world ?
I think it deserves a separate threat:

Taubchen I have a good idea to make your little leonard listening to the big leonard, go in the afternoon to the sound check , last tour he usually did the sound check in the afternoon of the concert, that would be a solution to make your dream real and you can relax at night .
see you in Venice
Andrea

A separate "threat" or separate "thread", Mirka? Personally, I like your version. ;-) And Tom's description of the proceedings...

Laura
A thread about a threat of losing one's sanity when witnessing all those things ticket agents and promoters are doing.
But then -- the world went crazy anyway, so maybe they are normal as the current standard goes ...?
Thanks Laura, turns out English is still pretty confusing for me

I've done it!! Am so excited, just booked hubbie and myself A3 63+64. After deliberating about it for the last week!
We'll be in Italy in June and having a couple of days in Venice then, all booked before concert was announced.
I'm still shaking from the excitement. Know it will be worth it though(I feel very extravagant, we are not well off) I saw him 4 times last year, and look forward to it more than ever. Who knows hubbie might become a convert, after listening to Leonard via me for over 40 years!
See you all there, Maureen
