I'm hoping some universal good-will will come my way.
I'm looking for 1 or 2 tickets in the non-VIP range for the Beacon show.

As an avid concert-goer I have always given up my extra tix at cost, usually to a grateful fan right outside the venue...

My best give? Springsteen at the Beacon during the Ghost of Tom Joad tour (mezzanine Row A(!), given to a fan for cost.)

I could hopefully be YOUR best give!

I am trying to get tickets at ANY PRICE with the VIP reception for two, the first tapes I got as a kid in eastern europe were of his music, the tapes I listened two as I was hidding in another eastern european country looking for a way to defect were his, the music i listened to when i finally made it to the west to give me strength to continue was his, the music and lyrics my son has listened to learn who i am were his, I could not get tickets in November at the Olympia in Paris, I will pay any amount for two tickets in NY. I am hoping to find any 2 tickets, or even just 1 ticket for the Beacon concert. I was lucky enough to get a pair of tickets on Ticketmaster today but when I tried to check out and actually pay for them, I was unable to. Apparently, Bank of America (my credit card provider) added a new level of security on their cards with Ticketmaster. They asked for all sorts of information including 6 digits of my social security number to verify the account. I entered all the information properly but the link to submit all that information was missing altogether, so I was unable to check out and actually buy the tickets. I cannot even tell you all how frustrating that was to be so close to getting tickets, and then not get them!

In any case, I am a fan of Leonard Cohen, but my husband is a fanatic die-hard fan. He knows the words to every song. listens to him on a daily basis, discusses the implications of word choices in his lyrics, etc. My husband is from Russia and has given every Cohen CD to his old English teacher to use in class and he has used Cohen's songs to improve his own English. Basically he is a true fan! I would love to go to the concert but even more important, I am hoping to find a ticket for him. The Beacon is one of the best places in New York to see a concert - it has great acoustics, it is small enough and it is really a nice looking theater. I can't believe I'd never heard of this forum until the other day when I saw the tickets went on pre-sale. I am devastated that I didn't get a ticket to this show. I don't have a lot of money, so was looking in the under $100 range, but I had no idea that ALL of the tickets would be sold out already at 9am! I am so disappointed.

If anyone has a ticket or two, I wouldn't be able to even tell you how much it would mean to me!

Great to see so many new names on the forum since the Beacon tix went on sale.
Hope to see lots of you in Krakow.
But how do we know that some of the new registrants aren't scalpers? Sorry to be so suspicious, but from the look of e-bay, it's evident the scalpers are very crafty at getting hold of the available seats.
