No - I'm in the arena, B, row 13, seat 3! I'm very short and my partner is very tall - say hi if you spot us!
(I've been very quiet on forum lately, still getting over the thrills of the summer tour...)

17 Nov 2008.Leonard Cohen live at The Royal Albert Hall,London.L.C.back in London for the third of four shows after getting fantastic reviews from the 02 Arena gig in July that i was at.The setlist has been changed around a bit too.He is now aged 74 and he was on stage for 2 hours 40 mins over two sets of 60 mins and 100 mins. That golden voice and those lyrics are just amazing with the crowd in total silence as he sings and they hang on to every word. His band are superb as are the three female backing singers.First set included "Aint No Cure For Love","Bird On The Wire","Everybody Knows", "Chelsea Hotel No 2","Hey,Thats No Way To Say Goodbye" and "Anthem".Second set included "Suzanne","Boogie Street",a mega "Hallelujah", "I'm Your Man",a stunning "A Thousand Kisses Deep" and "Take This Waltz".The five encores were "So Long Marianne","Famous Blue Raincoat", a brilliant "If It Be Your Will","Democracy" and "I Tried To Leave You".He sung with his hat on but took it off every time he spoke to the audience. There was plenty of humour from him too.The Royal Albert Hall is much more suited to him than the massive 02 Arena thats for sure. Most of the crowd downstairs had paid 100 and 90 quid to be there but i doubt any felt they did not get good value tonight.Pure quality.

About my seating.I had seats up in the balcony but noticed that on Monday there
were 20 or 30 seats on corner blocks by the stage totally empty.During the
interval we came down the stairs and sat there so ended up 10 yards from LC and the band.
A great result or is Tuesday more sold out??Maybe it will be the same on Tuesday??

There were indeed 20+ free seats, both left and right off the stage, in "stalls", probably because you're actually looking the Web Sisters *almost* from behind. I was near (and Jarkko also), stalls G (closest to the stage), but last rows, couple of meters to the right. But it was good because people from balcony indeed filled that after the intermission. I saw some Forum members moving there top the first seats on our side of the stage (plus the other Forum members with flowers on the opposite side).

I had to mention that the audience got much more heated after the break. I suppose it was because of the bar they all attended during the intermission  It was almost like in Dublin 8)
