You really must tell us more about this. And we expect a detailed, witty recollection in your inimitable style.

Ah, it's just another re-enactment of the age old story:
Boy (that would be me) finds girl (Anjani) while writing a review of girl's album (Blue Alert). Boy, on reading comparison of girl to Holly Cole and Tanita Tikaram, makes the obvious move, using the first part of the review to suggest a foursome consisting of him and the three female singers. Girl leaves comment, thanking boy for positive review. Boy publishes post interpreting girl's comment as indication girl is torn between running to him and staying with her boyfriend, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Lenny Kravitz, ... Lennie someone, Negotiations ensue re four-way Vs three-way and personnel composition of each but eventually girl sends a ''Dear DrHGuy" letter and it's splitsville. Boy gets autographed poetry volume from boyfriend/poet as consolation prize.
It's the kind of thing that happens every day.

Well, I must say you are 1GUY who at least follows orders. Thanks for the very witty story. It reads like a mini-thriller. I might add, you sure have a lot of
chutzpah.

Hi, looking to do some investigative work and authenticate a pair of signatures on a 1970 performance contract signed by Cohen or somebody with a "power of attorney" to sign on his behalf. I assume they are legitimately signed by Cohen's hand, but I honestly don't know. I've checked google images for signatures, but they vary wildly, and most are recent vintage. There are differences and similarities. I'm guessing his signature evolved (?). This document is now 44 years old, and was signed as a business document, not an autograph.
There are a pair of signatures, with some curious additional scrawl that I can't make out -- which is why I'm wondering if it's the agency signing the contract on his behalf. On one of the sigs there is a loop in his "L" -- on the other there isn't -- yet both seem to have been written by the same hand.
Both are hand-written ball-point pen.
First sig.
2nd sig.
Tell me what you think and what you can decipher.
Cheers.
PS. FYI: Cohen's contract runs several pages, his signatures appear on different pages. His fee for a single performance here was a $4000 flat guarantee.

This is one of my most treasured items - I love it.
I printed out the poem myself on an A4 sheet of paper.
I have the original framed and standing on top of my music system.
I also have a' half size' photo copy of it laminated as a bookmark.
Kind Regards, Joan.
( this is a photo of it so It isn't perfectly clear - sorry )

This was given to me last year by a friend of Leonards. It is one of my prized musical possessions. It will soon be framed with a poster from the 2012 tour. It will forever be treasured.
